In the hospital, Wen Yanran's face lit up with a smile when she saw Xia Wanwan's figure.
"Wanwan, you're here!" Wen Yanran's eyes were red, clearly showing concern from a sleepless night.
Next to her, Gu Junhan's father saw Xia Wanwan and smiled at her and Xi Muchen, "Wanwan, Mr. Xi, thank you for coming to see Junhan. He's inside, I'll have to trouble you to go in and talk some sense into him."
Xia Wanwan had never seen Gu Junhan looking so haggard. He lay on the hospital bed, the normally handsome features now bearing a deep weakness and exhaustion. The nurse was still trying to persuade him to eat, but he didn't pay any attention to her whatsoever.
Seeing her enter, he paused slightly, and surprise showed in his eyes. However, that quickly passed when he saw the man who followed Xia Wanwan inside, and the smile that had begun to form froze on his lips.
