Shen Ruo stopped in her tracks, turned around, and smiled faintly, "My phone ran out of battery. Did you call me for something?"
Gu Kai stood up and walked up to her, still without much expression, "You're coming back so late, and when I call you, of course I want to know where you went. Tell me, where have you been? Why are you late?"
If it had been before tonight, Shen Ruo might not have cared too much about his questioning, but now she was very averse to his domineering behavior.
"I just went out for a walk and met a friend. Where else could I have gone? Can't I have my own matters to attend to?"
