The door wasn't closed, so the sound of crying carried through.
Shen Ruo was about to peek through the crack in the door when a hand reached out from behind her and silently pulled it shut.
Turning around, she met Uncle An's smile.
Not expecting Uncle An to appear suddenly, Shen Ruo was startled! She even let out a scream.
"Miss Shen, you can't sleep again tonight." There wasn't a hint of displeasure on Uncle An's face; he smiled very politely and courteously.
But Shen Ruo felt a chill all over her body, "I, I heard crying, so, I came up to see."
"It's our master's crying; he has a habit of sleepwalking at night. Now that Miss Shen knows, you can go back to sleep."
"Ah? Oh, alright." Shen Ruo turned around blankly, then suddenly realized who he had just mentioned.
"Your master? The owner of this place?" she asked, turning back around.
"Yes."
"Didn't you say he wasn't at the villa?"
"I didn't say that, I just said, the master was busy and not available to meet guests."
