Looking down at Shen Ruo, trapped below, a hint of a smile played about his lips, as though it were barely there at all.
"Drink this glass of wine, and I'll let you go. Don't drink, and you're on your own," Qiao Xu pressed the wine glass to Shen Ruo's lips, feeling an urge to force her to drink it down.
Shen Ruo glanced at him, then at the bodyguards surrounding them, and asked, "If I drink it, will you truly let me go?"
His lips curled up maliciously, he nodded, "Of course, I never lie."
"Fine, I'll drink." Taking the glass, Shen Ruo downed the wine in one go, but choked a bit due to the haste.
"There you go, that's a good girl." Qiao Xu leaned back on the sofa, his hand reaching out to caress her cheek with ambiguous intent.
Shen Ruo swatted his hand away in disgust, stood up, and said coldly, "I've drunk it, you can let me go now."
Suddenly, a wave of dizziness hit her, and she collapsed onto the sofa. She shook her head, but the dizziness intensified.
