Chapter 4 - Chapter 4 A Closed Space

That day, she arrived at a luxurious villa according to the address and rang the doorbell…

There would be a grand party here tonight, and she was the pianist who had answered the call.

The pay was generous: play for one evening, five thousand yuan.

It was now three o'clock in the afternoon, and she had arrived a bit early. However, she did not like to be late; arriving a little earlier allowed her to make sufficient preparations.

"Miss Chen, it's a bit early now. Why don't you come upstairs with me to rest for a while?"

Following the servant upstairs, Chen Zhi didn't look around curiously; although she wasn't born into a wealthy family, she was well-mannered.

The servant led her to a door, "Miss Chen, please go in and rest for a while. At five o'clock in the afternoon, someone will come to get you ready."

"Ok, thank you." Chen Zhi smiled slightly and after the servant left, pushed the door open and walked into the resting room.

She had just taken two steps inside when the door behind her suddenly closed.

Click—a sound, especially abrupt in the silence of the room.

It was so dark; there was not a ray of light in the room, as if it was a sealed space.

Chen Zhi reached out to fumble for the switch and pressed it, but the light did not turn on.

She tried to open the door, but it wouldn't budge.

What was going on?

She couldn't help but feel doubtful, and an inexplicable fear crept over her.

Suddenly, faint footsteps sounded behind her. Chen Zhi startled and turned around, "Who is it?!"

Her back pressed tightly against the door, her hands clutching the doorknob, cold sweat seeping into her palms.

A faint scent of cologne wafted to her nose, the powerful aura indicating that the person approaching her was a man.

"Who are you?" she gathered her courage to ask again.

The man didn't answer, but moved a step closer, pressing his body against hers, trapping her between his chest and the door panel.

Chen Zhi's heart skipped a beat, and she instinctively reached out to push him away. The man took the opportunity to seize her hand and pinned it against his firm chest, bringing them even closer.

This man was a head taller than her; the hot breath from his mouth showered down on her forehead.

"Let me go!" Chen Zhi became increasingly panicky, struggling fervently, but the man pressed her shoulder with one hand, pinning her firmly against the door.

"Woman, I suggest you'd better not move," he said slowly, his voice deep and pleasant.

"Who are you?! Is there some misunderstanding? I am just the pianist who answered the call to play; have you mistaken me for someone else?"
