Camilla did actually giggle, then patted her husband on the chest. "See that, my darling? Maybe it'll teach you to remember your manners and not just speak whatever unhinged thought pops into your mind."
Lucas laughed outright at that, while William could only duck his head sheepishly and try to change the subject. He looked at Celia with a shrug.
"You're here to speak to your father, I gather?"
Celia nodded back. "Is that why you're here as well?"
"Yes but it's nothing urgent, we can come back tomorrow if needed. We were just killing time here."
"By standing here in a public corridor and kissing your wife?" Celia blurted out.
"Can you think of a better way to pass the time?" William smiled. "I suppose there are others-"
"Husband! You either shut your mouth right now or I'll have to shut it for you." Camilla nearly shrieked, trying to press her fingers to his lips.
