"Apologies for interrupting, Your Grace. You have a visitor." Herleve stuck her head into the bedchamber.
"Really? Who?" Celia stood up from the window seat and quickly glanced down at herself. Her robe was tied snugly over her nightgown. Nothing indecent.
She knew it wouldn't be Lucas stopping by. They'd both agreed he shouldn't continue visiting, to avoid raising suspicions. A dozen heartfelt thank you letters, apparently written by the Crown Prince and Princess of Havietten, had already been sealed and issued to all the kingdoms that had provided welcome gifts for Prince Gabriel Tralhamir.
So what other reason did Lord Nadrim have for visiting the princess? None that either of them could think of, sadly.
Celia missed Lucas a great deal but tried to console herself. I'll see him again in less than a month.
A moment later, her sister-in-marriage swept into the bedchamber.
