Max stood on the rooftop of a decrepit building overlooking the docks. The city was draped in darkness, the only light coming from the sporadic street lamps and the occasional flicker of neon signs in the distance. Below, the docks buzzed with quiet activity. Shadows moved furtively, loading and unloading crates from the ships. The Black Lotus was here, and tonight, they'd make their move.
Elena crouched beside him, her eyes scanning the scene with a hawk-like intensity. "You ready for this?" she asked, her voice low and steady.
"Always," Max replied, checking his weapon. "We take them down tonight."
A rustling noise caught their attention. Mia emerged from the shadows, her face pale but determined. "Everything's set," she whispered. "I've disabled their surveillance. We have the element of surprise."
Max nodded. "Good. Let's keep it that way."
