Chereads / The secret of strength / Chapter 9 - Part 8

Chapter 9 - Part 8

~~~
Awesome!
Contrary to what I imagined, the room was spacious and beautiful, containing six bunk beds.  On one side there are three and on the other there are three separated by a curtain in the middle.
It has a brown sofa next to the window facing the door. The wall is a dark color, but I like it.  I looked around the room and was still standing at the door, not paying attention to the eyes staring at me.   Someone hummed to get my attention.
  I turned to her. She was the same brunette who told me where the principal's office was, and she was the same one who defended the red-haired girl.   She stared at me with a wide smile and said,
"Hello, why are you here?"
I blinked several times, comprehending the question and quickly answered her,
"Oh, because this is my room."
She asked with a frown, and even her frown looked cute.  ".Your room?..Show me your number.?"
  She extended her hand, the coin was still in my hand, and I gave it to her.
  I looked at the piece for a long time, with confusion that I easily felt.
Then she returned it to me hesitantly, and put on a fake smile... I think because she looked so confused?
She said pointing to one of the beds.  "Yes, go ahead, we are happy to have you... This will be your bed... and if you don't like it, choose whatever you want.."
My sight went to where she pointed, and there was a bed alone in the corner, two floors up.
I turned my gaze by chance to find the boys, accompanied by the brunette.
The man with the glasses who defended the redhead, and next to him was the other young man with whom he defended the girl.
The two young men sat on one bed, and Lauren was in the middle of the room.
They are the same people who defended the redhead. They seem to be a group, the manager says.
Anyway, my mind wasn't free for more questions, especially with my very heavy bag - literally -!   I nodded in response to the brunette girl in front of me, "
Yes, good... Thank you.."
Without another word, I quickly went to the bed, placed the bag on the lower mattress, and quickly lay down, feeling slightly exhausted.
I turned my back to that group and curled up on myself, hugging a pillow as usual.
I tried to make my mind accept sleep...
but it refused!   For about half an hour, I was trying to sleep, but to no avail!
The group of girls who came were completely silent, and I felt 6 eyes on me. I couldn't stand it anymore! I stood up silently and quickly left the room.
I sighed in relief...or perhaps tiredly.   I thought of walking around for a bit, to save the place and not get lost.
Indeed, I walked silently inside the sanctuary, looking excitedly at what was around me. The sun had set and at least one ray remained, which helped me return to that stifling room.
I also entered silently and did not look at all at the three, who were silent as soon as I entered, as if they did not want me to hear the conversation.
  I ignored the matter, searched with my eyes for the bathroom to change my clothes, and took out some clothes, which by their appearance were not appropriate for this place at all!   I entered the bathroom which was also beautiful and spacious! Relatively speaking, it contains something that pours water in drops like rain! She took off her long black coat.
This coat has a special place in my heart because it is my last gift from my father, and it is also very comfortable.
As I said, my clothes were not appropriate for this place.  In the end, I had to wear one of them, and although it was a little revealing because the dress reached just below the knee, it was beautiful, with long, dark sleeves. Contrary to everything I saw today, no girls wore a dress like me. Rather, they wore beautiful but short pants and coats.
I left the bathroom in this dress, afraid that someone would comment on my clothes.   But they were silent!   I didn't care, I lay on the bed and turned my back to them. Oh how beautiful I slept quickly, without dreams and nightmares.
".Hello..Hello...Aren't you going to wake up?..It's time to study...''
I opened my eyes slowly, to meet a pair of dark brown eyes, which contained a beautiful kindness just like the voice.
I quickly realized reality and opened my eyes.
  The brunette girl looked at me in amazement, but this was beyond my control... As usual, when someone wakes me up, I flinch in fear.
I took a deep breath and asked her: "What's wrong?" She blinked several times in confusion. "It's… it's class time… aren't you going today?"
   I blinked, trying to understand why my head wasn't fully awake.
Yes! Lectures!
It is the first day at the university that I had dreamed of entering for a long time!..
"What time is it!" I felt terrified for a moment, and quickly turned towards a clock that I had not noticed that was on the wall.. She said: "It is a quarter past seven..."
"A quarter past seven."
"..!!!.."
I shook in astonishment and looked around to see what I was going to do on this miserable day!   I was already late on the first day!  Damn my laziness!
When I was confused about what to do, the girl quickly asked: "What should I take today? And what will I wear!"
She blinked in horror, - she seemed to be sensitive - and answered gently:
"Your clothes are fine... And also you should just take a notebook and a pen..."
"A notebook and a pen?... Where did he get them from!" She said in astonishment, more like a scolding: " You don't have a notebook or a pen!... So what are you doing at the university?!.. "
"It's okay. Here you go.."
The young man with the glasses came forward. I did not notice him standing. He extended his hand with a pen and a pad of paper...
I made a small, barely visible smile. I blinked in confusion, and felt embarrassed for several reasons...
The brunette is right! What would I do at a university without knowing my surroundings and my demands...
Well, I will not deny... My presence here in itself is a miracle, and the matter is worse with my stupidity and laziness.
    I hesitantly took the notebook and pen from the boy with the glasses. I wish I could hide from the embarrassment.
"I am grateful."
I then paid attention to my clothes, and could not think of changing them because I was late. I looked at the three girls,
"Aren't you going?"
"No, we are older than you, so we are not obligated to come like you."
I asked myself, how did they know that I was young or I am the first year.   Of course it was a stupid question! Because my first appearance was yesterday.
I didn't think anymore and quickly set off to the university building. Finding row number 200 took a long time for me until I arrived.
I opened the door brutally, letting the eyes of those present focus on me. I felt embarrassed by my behavior! This is especially true with the many, often mocking, eyes of the students.
  Hamma squinted in embarrassment, and, fortunately or unfortunately, the professor cut his gaze:
"Miss de Lier?.."
I nodded, my gaze falling to the ground.
"First day, and your behavior is already like this.... And also half an hour late..."
I heard a muffled laugh from most of the people, but I To my embarrassment, I didn't care.
   I walked forward slowly, and said to the professor gently: "I apologize for this.. I will not repeat..."
He was silent for a while with a stern look.
".Sit down..."
I turned my gaze and looked for a place to sit. I noticed one of the students in the front rows move and make room for me to sit.
I smiled gratefully and sat next to him.  Of course I don't like the front rows, but I can't refuse help, especially since he's the only one who budged.   The professor looked at me until I sat down, and then he continued the explanation.
There is no denying it, it was a beautiful topic!  I loved these kinds of things, especially those related to people... and I was very curious and puzzled to know why I was different from people, and the secret of my amazing strength.
I quickly pushed away all thoughts, trying not to get distracted while the professor was talking.
Gradually...the day ended. The sun began to set.   It was a very rich and informative day from the beginning...and it ended with difficulty!   My stomach was screaming for food.
But I decided to go to the library first and ask the person called Grebitch a few questions, and then I would finish eating.
And soon I actually arrived at the library. I opened the door and entered. I was met by the face of Grebitch, who was sitting without his glasses. He closed his book and stood wearing his glasses.
"Oh, hello."
"Hello."
I walked forward slowly and stood in front of him. "I can start working now.." I smiled contentedly.
"Great... how much would you like to get first?"
".Anything.."
"Um, well we can agree on 50 items for today.."
Huh?!   High price, for normal work?   I asked in confusion: "Are you sure?... The pay is high and the work is easy?"
His smile widened cheerfully. "Do you have another suggestion?.."
as if he was testing me for being greedy!  It's okay to understand it.
"As you wish, in the end you are the one who will pay..."
He laughed. "Agreed then, it will be 50 pieces for today..."
".What should I start with?..."
He gestured to his followers, and after several steps he stopped in front of one of the shelves, which was not in order! And the books were piled with dust...
He said: "Start today with this shelf and you will learn for the rest of the days."
I nodded in understanding, then turned around preparing to leave, but I stopped him to ask a question: "Please, Mr. Gribitch, do you know the names of the students at the university?"
He thought and said: "Um, almost... Do you want someone?"
"Actually, I am looking for a student named 'Serdar De Lir'..."
"Is he your brother?"
"Not quite... Do you know him?"
He thought for a moment and said:
"Actually, I didn't know him.. but I will look for the name..."
I smiled and thanked him, then he turned and left.  Since I traveled, my mind has been busy with Sardar and I have to find him. Let's be one hand outside our country. No one knows the dangers, but together we will overcome anything.
I returned my attention to the shelf piled with books and dust, and wished very much that we were in the same place.
   It took me several hours to finish arranging the books, and almost cleaning half the dust. Indeed, I was very hungry!
I couldn't take it anymore, so I finally had to use my strength. First, I made sure that no one was there and then I drew a large amount of air into my lungs - a deep breath - and with one light puff, I moved my fingertips and focused the potential energy of gravitation into the air around me and pulled the dust from the shelf.
I curled my fingers in a circle as the dust-laden air swirled around me, then I approached a small, semi-open window and moved my body to let the air and dust out.
Whoever would have seen the scene of raising my hand controlling the air in the place and pulling the dust would certainly not believe himself.
  But alas!, this is one of my strange powers.   Anyway, I'm done cleaning now!
  Finally I will eat.
  I quickly left the library looking for a place to eat, and since the sun had already set and only the rest of its light remained on the horizon, finding food now would be difficult! Thanks to my stamina, I was able to last for two days without food! I would certainly die if I stayed another day!
I walked into the sanctuary, confused: Where could I get food? Fortunately, I spotted one of the girls nearby.
I looked more closely and then her figure became clear. It was the same red-haired girl who had quarreled yesterday with some young men.
I hesitated to ask her, and in the end I walked towards her, as she was walking very slowly, focusing on a stone - I think - in her hand, and when I patted her on the shoulder lightly, she quickly turned around with an almost shocked expression.    "Excuse me, is something wrong?"
Her expression hardened for a moment and she asked coldly,
"What's the matter? What do you want?"
And for some reason, I feel like there is a rock pressing on my heart, like a feeling of distress.   "Um, I'm hungry.. so please..."
I answered gently, hiding my nervousness.
"Do you think I have food so I can put it in your mouth, for example...? Ha!"
I was upset by this, and tried to ignore it.  I said coldly: "I was just asking, where can I get food?"
She blinked in confusion, apparently feeling embarrassed by her sarcasm, and quickly turned back coldly and pointed right.
"There is a kitchen. Walk right at the end of this corridor and you will find it. You can Ask for whatever you want, but pay..."
I looked where she indicated,
"Thank you..."
and I left her heading to the place, and of course I did not notice the strange looks coming from her.. I walked in the direction of what the red-haired woman indicated, and soon I arrived. It was a half-open door inside a section containing There are benches and tables that I think are for eating, and there are also a few people there eating.
I entered curiously and sat on one of the seats, and indeed a middle-aged woman approached me.
"Do you want to eat?.."
". Yes, please.."
". What should I bring?.."
In fact, I was confused, and I did not know exactly what I wanted. ..
I said gently, "This is my first time here... so you can serve it according to your own taste..."
The woman smiled. "Okay then, I will bring it to my taste..."
She nodded slowly, and after some time she brought the food.
  I wasn't used to it but it was really delicious, and it quelled my hunger.
***
Close!
Finally, it was time for me to enter my room. I finished eating and quickly returned to my room, dreaming of falling onto the bed and falling asleep quickly.
I walked slowly, relaxing my shoulders, heading to my bed.
"What are you doing here!..?"   The cold question came out of nowhere.  Or rather, I didn't notice anyone coming in, but...it was the same red-haired girl. I stared at her blankly, processing it.
Suddenly we both said at the same time:
"Wait! You, what are you doing here?"
"Wait! You, what are you doing here?"
We stopped at the same time, blinking in surprise as we understood the situation.
I took the initiative to answer:
"I am here, because this is my room..."
".What?!... Who allowed this to be your room..."
I answered with true innocence, not knowing what she meant.
I was given her number to stay in... so
"It's my room.."
The girl frowned and then extended her hand. "Show me your number?..."
I was confused by these girls asking for my number. What's wrong with sharing a room?
I remembered that the The metal piece was in the bag that was still on the bed, so I quickly looked for the coin inside, until I found it and gave it to the red-haired woman.
  She stared at it for a few minutes as if she was going to pierce it with her eye, and then she returned it.
"Since you are our partner, I hope you will always keep your mouth shut and ignore us... agreed?..."
I was very upset!... I don't like that way!  Why do you look at me as if I am less than her?!
  I said coldly, "I didn't care about anyone in this place, and from the beginning I intended to ignore you. In any case, I'm not free to talk to you.."
Without another word, I headed to my bed and threw myself tiredly.
The first day was long and tiring.
