Therefore, the inhabitants of the Moonlight Kingdom rejoice since the darkness is swept away with the beginning of a new morning. Varrick defeat is a result to happiness of all inhabitants of the island but as the phrase goes, situations are not always what they seem.
Emilia, Leander, Elara, and Marcus went on a journey to the outer kingdom of the moon to see the status of peace and to know if the harmony is growing. It is a series that displays them walking on the road full of lively smiles and whenever the four friends come on the screen, they are appreciated with so much thankfulness and positive energy. However, Emilia can still hear the sense of uneasy, the little voice in her heart, which does not cease even after that.
It takes them to Nightshade, a boarder village that is as yet unaffected by the beginning of the liberation process. Regrettably, the reception is not very friendly, and this is because of the village elder, a cautious as well as rather mistrustful lady called Theron. She briefs him that at the Nightshade the spirit has been geist; things go missing, voices are heard at night, and the feeling of somebody crawling at the back of ones neck.
On that evening they are all around the camping fire and Theron narrates to them a story of the great power that is reputed to have been in the Moon Kingdom and which was used to control the tides and the moon. But with this power she says is stirring and with the revival an old enemy thought to have been wiped out.
Therefore, the four friends begin to investigate due to curiosity and the passion to protect the users. They stalk their prey even into the core of the forest, where a temple of worship which has been abandoned for several centuries stands with vines all over it. Inside they gather some clues that make them feel that there are other people out there who are executing similar strategies as them.
Deeper in the temple, there are traps and puzzles which are transformed into the remnants of the protection system of people of ancient times. Just as
when they get to the middle of the temple, they find a man handcuffed in the dark; a former soldier of Varrick who was believed to have died earlier in the war.
Noticing the residents of Wolfsbane, the lieutenant, urging that it was just the beginning with the destruction of Varrick. He speaks of a prophecy and a power which can if utilised can save the Moon Kingdom or destroy it. He also depicts a sort of betrayer among the friends where they tend to be suspicious of each other.
Conflict emerges and although the duo are able to repel Alaric he leaves them with far more questions than they have answers to. Emilia then learns more chores are in store and it is up to her to discover the rest of the continuation of the prophecy of the Energy of the Ancients.
When they come out of the temple the day is fading, and the shades lengthen, the moon is getting up into the night and the gloom into the darkness is creeping. Now, Emilia, Marcus, Leander, and Elara promise to protect the Moon Kingdom because they realized that now the real battle has begun. In the last scene of the chapter four friends raise their hands and they pledged to fight every ill that comes their way and their spirit is, in every sense of the word, as hard as rock.
*Alaric's Backstory*
Alaric was born in one of the shanty of a small village at the edge of the Moon Kingdom's territory. He demonstrated his incredible potential and sharp intellect since the early childhood and people from various fields of the kingdom's society saw it and appreciated. Understanding his abilities, the village elders decided to send him to the capital to get the formal education in the warrior's craft and in addition get the knowledge about mages and magic.
In the capital, Alaric climb to the highest status quickly and showed himself a strategist and a brutal force at the same time. This made him vivacious making him different as he began controlling energy from moon. But it is noteworthy that the career path of this man was not devoid of some difficulties. People grew jealous of his prowess, and to top it up they became contemplative and plotted against him; nevertheless Alaric did not die, he did not falter and made it.
Alaric saw his chance when Varrick was on the rise to the throne. Varrick, an attractive and young commander with big dreams for the powerful kingdom of the Moon, wanted his people to live in a different society in which strength and systematic discipline were to triumph over anarchy and vulnerability. Alaric despised the kingdom's stagnant rulers and their inability to fully unlock the power of the moon hence decided to follow Varrick whom he believed would create a great and centralized kingdom.
Thanks to his vigour and enthusiasm, Alaric was soon promoted to one of Varrick's closest subordinates, who fulfill both the role of a planner and a muscle. He was instrumental in many of Varrick's successful takeovers of settlements, his expertise in legends as well as practically applying his moon magic to make sure the rebellious factions submitted to Varrick's rule. It is thus likely that Henceforth had a combination of greed and faith in Varrick's capacity to make good on his dreams for the business.
However, as the rule of Varrick gets to be more oppressive, one could begin to see signs of defection on the part of Alaric. He began noticing the troughs that people of the Moon Kingdom had to go through as result of Varrick's reign. However, with the increasing Internal strifes and opposition, Alaric started developing a conflict between his task and his skepticism choices.
This internal conflict erupted particularly during the last fight against Emilia and her lovers.
Thoughts that Alaric died during the disorder of Varrick's lose, he actually went in hiding in an ancient temple in the wood. Here, he found prophecies and relics implying existence of the power even greater than the one Varrick had known, the power capable of changing the face of the whole kingdom. Fueled by guilt, desire for promotion and the knowledge that Alaric promised peace for the kingdom he set up to become the master of these powers.
Alaric stayed in the background scheming how he could get back and get back on the throne to sustain the prophecy he had discovered. He perceives himself as the only one who knows the real path that the Moon Kingdom is fated to follow, and in order to lead it there, he would not hesitate to oppose Emilia and her friends that, before, he could have considered his comrades-in-arms.
The story of Alaric tells ambition, fight and the possibility to be reborn. He is an anti-hero who has to face his sins and his urge to rectify them while dealing with his dangerous temptation as well. This makes him a powerful and even somewhat ambiguous villain because his actions while being still villainous are at least not entirely unjustified.
Telling this to Emilia, Marcus, Leander, and Elara, the heroes decided to return to the kingdom's capital to continue the conversation with the scientists and rulers of the kingdom while traveling together to expose the real intentions of the ancient concept of power and the prophecy before everyone. They are going to especially try to find the answers there, as it is only there that the records of the kingdom's history and the prophecies are provided. They are then welcomed by the Moonlight Kingdom Council, which ousted Varrick to become the rulers of the kingdom. An old wise man sitting on the council who knows Emilia and her friends from their childhood and has been friends with or an adviser to Lucien. The Cunningham ancestor is a clever man all over the kingdom and knows more concerning items about the kingdom than most history might tell. In this case, when they search the information in the library, they come across a fragment of prophecy concerning the ''Chosen of the Moon'' and some old power in the kingdom to define whether it is the twilight for the war and the dawn for a new age of cooperation. Still, that is missing in the prophecy, which most individuals have not received; therefore, the numerous questions that arose from the prophecy. The story starts with the student Emilia, who spends the night in the library and, by mere chance, forms a new set of scrolls. These scrolls start with the narration of the power of the ancients associated with the application of the right proportions.
Yes, ancient power was sealed away by the kingdom's founders for a reason; however, it is one that holds the power to summon all the positive beings in society for the wrong reasons. As the writers are frequently located near the reporters, they listen to how the reporters construct their text. conclusion, the scene gets to Lucien. He makes compliments for them in getting good targets and encourages them to search for even more targets. But as he turns his attention back toward the scroll, there is a slight shift in patrons' perspective as Lucien takes on a new attitude, and for the first time, the audience is provided with a brief hint at the avarice of the, man inside. The young man, being the curious one that he is, wanders during the night and sneaks into the palace. During such a time, he eavesdrops on Lucien and Alaric. As much as he is unhappy, he is informed that previous occurrences that took place earlier on must have featured Lucien as Alaric's supporter. It is seen through the eye of Siebenstrafen that the plan that is to be internalized is the goal of pain and justice. Only the reclaiming of the old power, no matter how corrupt and unlawful it may seem, will birth a new age of peace and order in that kingdom. Alaric points out that with power and Lucien on their side, they can turn this world for the better and somehow help people. As soon as he gets the chance, Marcus runs off to tell other people but never has the chance to; instead, he is chased by the roof-loyal guards of Lucien and taken to a dim basement room in the palace. No matter how hard they attempt to protect Marcus, Lucien declares Marcus a traitor and is planning to topple down the council and the kingdom. Of course, the latter is against Emilia, Leander, and Elara, who are shocked by his arrest and have no idea what he is accused of. And on some of those days, while going to the council, they observe a rather complex trial where Lucien also explains reliable evidence and other members of the council believe that Marcus is guilty. The council then recommends that Marcus be taken to jail until the trial. Privately, the man threatens to kill the woman, telling her that the only thing preventing him from doing it now is the hope that she will accept his power and become an ancient. He tries to make her understand that they will be coming up with more evidence that is the basis for treason and splitting the group. Having evil inside, Lucien makes Emilia understand that they are at a higher risk than she is willing to imagine. Being utterly confused and determined not to let the situation continue like this, Emilia, Leander, and Elara must go rescue Marcus and find out what traitorous Lucien was up to. In a sense, moonbloods will be better off if it has to confront an entire army of spies and traitors, because at least there won't be that many, whereas at the palace there will be enough of them to fill it to the brim. It is all a plan to escape from Marcus, whereas the actual goal is to stop Lucien's and Alaric's wicked plans. However, when they encounter the issue of internal betrayal, it becomes a dangerous trip that puts them in a dilemma about whether to remain loyal to the troop or not. Besides, it raises the degree of suffering and contributes to the plot that develops the concept of betrayal, whereby the main heroine and all her friends discover there is a big threat that may come from people who could previously be trusted.
