"It's okay Mom. I'll do anything for you. I'm a big boy," the young Seen said, tried to sound brave despite his trembling voice.
With his small, shaking hand, he lifted the sword and cut his left palm, wincing as the blade bit into his skin. His blood flowed freely, dripping down the sword's hilt and onto the floor. The young Seen's eyes welled up with tears as he watched his own blood anoint the sword, binding him to its power.
The sword turned crimson red as if relishing his blood. Seen felt as if his whole life had been sucked by the sword, or perhaps it had been connected with the sword. His mother watching from outside the room, was happy, she immediately dried her tiers knowing the bonding was successful. Quickly she opened the door to embrace her son for his success but she was met with slashes.
Seen was excited when the bonding completed, he turned to the abruptly opened door. His mother ran towards him, his lips broke into a smile but the next scene that unfolded left him horrified. The sword he grasped vibrated violently and released red shock waves. The shockwaves went by him like perceivable sound waves, but his mother, She was chopped to peaces by the shockwaves. Her body separated dropping peace by peace to the ground. Her blood filled the whole room up, enveloping even seen's blood that he lost when he cut himself.
Seen's body trembled, he? Did he just kill his own mother? The thought made him move backwards slowly. He had killed the only person who had ever shown him love in this treacherous world, the only person who didn't treat him like an item. Tears trickled from his little eyes. He moved away getting onto the bed not to let his mother's blood touch him. After stepping onto the bed he looked at the sword in his hand, he tried to throw it away, but nothing. It was as if it had been glued to his hand. Struggling to let it go, his iris turned a deep red. He stopped, his body stiffly moved into a straight passion like a doll being controlled, the arm holding the sword extended upwards. The blood on the floor began to rise like rain drops going to the sky, the drops were getting absorbed by the swords one after another. After a few minutes the room had been sucked completely clean, no stain of blood was in the room. His arm he cut became as good as it was before he sliced himself for the bonding, His mother's body pieces became white, all the blood completely sucked from them.
The lifted sword lost shape, it was like water without a container for moment before it straightened and turned into a long crimson scythe, it intrenched into his grasp after it's transformation.
...
Seeing seen dazed was a chance for mark to strike, he didn't waste it, he lunged and see with his fist crunched. Before his punch would land on seen, seen blocked it and landed his on punch that sent mark stumbling a few meters away. Mark deftly got up and held his arm behind him, his black scythe materialized into his arm.
«Wow, I was almost hit because of such a worthless memory» seen pondered with an unreadable face.
"Surprised?" Marks asked his tone was tinged with wariness.
"No, but if you keep dwindling around like this, your friends might die..." Seen stopped for a while before adding;
"Miserably at that."
"Believe me, I won't let any of that happen," mark confidently replied.
Marks right hand was holding the scythe;
«What do I have to do to? I can't even get a clear shot on him. His defences, how do I bypass him» marks mind rilled for possible ways to defeat seen.
"Not coming to attack? Am generous enough to let you defend!" Seen bellowed excitement written all over his face.
Seen disappeared from his initial position and reappeared in front of mark, but somehow mark wasn't there. Seen turned around and received a massive jab on his face.
«Wasn't he supposed to be using his scythe for this round? » seen questioned himself not expecting mark to fight him bare handed.
Mark unleashed a flurry of punches on seen's face. seen moving a little step back, saw another punch coming. It came for seen's face but seen parried it away and countered it with a swift punch. Clang! Marks scythe appeared infront of seen's punch, It immediately shattered. But that time was all mark needed to move out of the way, he jumped a few steps back and smiled.
"Haha, well it's worked." Mark laughed aloud.
"what worked?" Seen questioned mark. A punch from behind him answered him. Baffled, he couldn't react to the follow up that came. A combination of kicks and punched all collided with his body sending him flying to the ground.
"mirroring," mark mentioned the skill he used to full seen. It didn't require energy but only a drop of blood, If you didn't have a great sense of smell you wouldn't tell the copy from the original. And mark was using this his advantage against seen. The copies would seize to exist if they collided with anything or anyone, being of the same power as there wilder they packed a punch. Mark learnt this skill from a beast but never had a chance to use it, today was different, it would be the skill that saved his life.
"I see, intriguing! I'll enjoy crashing you!" Seen's speed was nolonger an advantage now, mark was more of an assassin type but for some reason he wielded pistols, scythe and a sword. He must have had a camouflage skill that allowed him not to be detected by seen. What was it, mark couldn't have gotten faster than him, would he?
Seen launched at Mark and landed a punch on his body which immediately disappeared. From behind marks voice was heard:
"Surprise surprise, you're nolonger a god. Without your speed I can touch you" this copy of mark disappeared only to reappear behind seen. He threw a punch expecting it to land on seen but a sickening gut wrenching punch landed on him. Mark spat a mouthful of blood some even dropping on seen's hand. Seen smiled and faced mark;
"Wow, you're already being beaten up after claiming am not a god!" Seen's voice resounded
A huge amount of pressure eveloped the whole area around them, the pull forced mark down. This was beyond gravity, it was like the pull demanded mark to bow.
"It seems like our fun is over" seen said with an indifferent tone.
