Chapter 31 - chapter 31: not much damage

Agren walked towards where Mark and Zico lay, intent on finishing the battle. However, the chains that made up his titan form were incredibly heavy, weighing him down and slowing his movements. Each step felt like a struggle, as if he was trudging through quicksand. His usual fluid movements were now labored and sluggish, making him vulnerable to attack. Despite his efforts, he couldn't shake off the feeling of being weighed down, his progress slow and arduous. The chains seemed to be holding him back, preventing him from unleashing his full fury on his defeated foes:

' he killed my brother he must die' he continued to walk.

Remon's eyes widened in horror, then a smile creeped onto his mouth:

"Haha, I think i like what's going on" he whispered to himself.

Emily and Asami finally caught up, their faces pale with fear:

"What's happening?" Emily asked, her voice trembling. Asami's eyes scanned the carnage, "Aknaili... Is he here? ." The two women stood frozen, unsure of how to react.

"Hello, ladies," Mark announced his presence, his injuries evident. Emily rushed to his side, concern etched on her face. "Why are you hurt so badly, Mark?" she asked, embracing him.

Asami watched from a distance, her actions restrained, not wanting to get too close. Mark waved off Emily's worry:

"We can worry about that later. Ginger, what's going on here? Why are there so many people? Where are you headed? It isn't safe if it's the level four village."

Ginger's determination was clear:

"We know the risks, Mark, but we're leaving the Sword Domain today, no matter what."

Mark's expression turned grave:

"Damn, okay. We'll stop Agren soon." He glanced at Zico, who looked away, anger still simmering.

Ginger clarified:

"You don't have to win the fight that is in front, Mark. Just hold who ever Agren back until we reach the edge of the Sword Domain."

Mark's curiosity piqued. "Wait, the edge? What do you mean?"

Zico interrupted, his patience wearing thin. "Hey, Mark, let's go before my body gives out. It's not like you can win alone."

Emily called out:

"Be safe, Mark," but he simply kissed her forehead and gently pushed her away.

"I thought I saw Remon," he said, then remembered Remon's nature:

"Damn, let's go, Zico!"

Mark and Zico sprinted towards the Level Village at incredible speed, leaving the others behind. Asami and Emily shared a concerned thought:

"Be careful, Mark."

The villagers watched in silence, fear and exhaustion etched on their faces. Some were tired, others hungry. Ginger's voice rang out:

"Let's move! We have no time to waste!" The crowd of over five hundred plus people marched forward, their fate uncertain.

When Mark and Zico arrived at the village, they found Remon engaged in a fierce battle with the chained titan, Agren. Despite being wrapped in chains in the chains he had perfect control of the chains, Remon seemed to be holding his own in the fight until Agren's chains wrapped around him. The titan hurled a powerful punch at him.

"Yes! Come!" Remon shouted in excitement, struggling to break free from the chains.

Just as the punch was about to connect, Zico leapt forward, his daggers materializing in his hands. Mark's black scythe appeared in his hand as he too jumped into action. With their weapons at the ready, Mark and Zico combined their strength to block the titan's punch. The force of the blow sent shockwaves through the air, but Zico and Mark held firm.

'He's here, I don't have to go after him,' Agren thought, his eyes fixated on Remon. Then, with a fierce roar, he shouted,:

"I'll kill you!"

"What are you doing here? Leave him, he's mine!" Remon, still wrapped in chains, let out a defiant yell before breaking free from his constraints. With a sudden burst of strength, he launched himself at Agren, shouting in mid air:

"Armorment!" bright red light exploded from Remon's daggers, lighting up the area like a lightning bolt. A powerful energy burst out from his body. When the light faded, Remon emerged, his body now covered in a dark red armor that fit him tightly. The armor seemed to be alive, its surface moving with a fierce energy. In his hands, he held two daggers that looked like serpents, their blades shining with a deadly glow. The transformation was sudden and dramatic, like a stormy wind blowing in and changing everything in an instant.

"Serpent, Umbra!" Remon commanded, his voice echoing through the air. Two massive serpents materialized, their bodies ten times thicker than a tree trunk, and wrapped themselves around the chained Titan. The serpents' heads struck with lightning speed, their jaws wide open, and attacked from above, unleashing a frenzy of bites and tears. The chains shattered like fragile glass, releasing a torrent of energy that sent Agren crashing to the ground, his lower body severed and lifeless.

The serpents' scales glistened like black diamonds, their eyes blazing with an otherworldly intensity as they constricted the Titan's remains.

Mark gazed at Remon, his Armorment transformation seemingly perfected. Zico's expression turned angry, but his calm demeanor quickly masked his emotions:

"How do you guys get so strong? It's not fair," Mark complained, frustration evident in his voice.

Zico retorted, "Not fair? Some of us have trained since we were five, unlike you." His words were laced with a hint of anger

Just then, Remon's sister appeared, her presence unexpected:

"Let's go home, Remon," she said, walking past the village.

Mark and Zico exchanged a puzzled glance, thinking:

'Why couldn't I sense her presence?'

Remon turned off his transformation and walked towards his sister, his obedience evident in his response:

"Okay, sis." He followed her without hesitation, not even a hint of refusal in his voice. When he turned off his Armorment the snakes disappeared, so did the chains.

Zico turned around and followed behind Remon, his eyes fixed on Mark with a warning gaze:

"If you don't want to suffer, die here. Leave this place, and I'll show you what true suffering is," he growled, his voice low and menacing.

Mark thought to himself:

'Which dumbass told me we could become friends after fighting together?' He forgot that his father had deeply offended Zico, leading to a lingering animosity between them.

As soon as Zico disappeared from sight, Mark's exhaustion caught up with him, and he collapsed to the ground, his body surrendering to fatigue. Though his eyes drooped, he forced himself to stay awake, thinking:

'Don't sleep... don't sleep...' The mantra echoed in his mind, a desperate attempt to ward off the darkness closing in around him.
