Chapter 24 - chapter 24: rematch

"What's wrong with these crazy powerful people?" Mark muttered to himself, his voice laced with frustration and pain. He struggled to his feet, his body aching from the brutal encounter with the strong lady. With a heavy sigh.

Mark halted, his thoughts racing. "Even if I go back, I'll there is high chances I might meet with someone who wants to kill me, But I can't go any further because of the Same reason... what kind of situation is this?" He stood silent for a while, the then he turned around, resolute.

"What's the worst that could happen? If I die, I'll just join my parents. I can't believe I was scared of death after seeing my father die in such a cool way... To hell with death." With newfound determination, he marched towards the Level Four village.

After a while of walking without encountering any obstacles, he entered the Sword Rain region. The air was filled with a hail of swords, and Mark's energy proved insufficient to repel them. His progress was halted, and he stood there, near the relentless sword storm.

"It's about time I go in, and see what makes level four so special that it made Remon and his sister leave" mark muttered to himself.

"Next time, keep your thoughts to yourself, Aknaili... or should I call you Mark?" Zico said, approaching mark with an indifferent look.

Mark turned around, removed his mask, and the black attire vanished, revealing his regular clothes, surprisingly unscathed. "Took you long enough. How long have you been suspecting me?"mark asked

Zico's eyes narrowed. "I'm curious, Mark. If I had moved, would it have mattered if you r stray shot hit me when I was in the tree, during the fight against the dragon guy?" He asked, his hands suddenly wielding two daggers.

Mark's pistols materialized in his hands. "If i remained unconscious any longer, would you have spared your life...?"

"I thought we could have been friends, Mark... but I couldn't forgive you for what your father did," Zico said, his voice laced with bitterness.

Zico opened his mouth to explain, but a loud bang cut him off. He barely dodged the bullet by sidestepping it.

Mark sneered. "I don't care about your excuses or your life story. Let's end this"

"You're right, Mark. I won't change my mind about trying to kill you, Armorment!" He shouted, activating his transformation. A red light burst forth, and Mark focused as he gazed at it. He began firing at Zico, infusing his bullets with his energy.

After a while, the light faded, revealing Zico clad in black armor that seemed like a second skin, with red lining and holes from Mark's shots. Mark thought:

'Guess that ended him,' but he was proven wrong when Zico launched an attack that Mark couldn't dodge. The attack sent Mark flying into the hail of swords. Without holding back, Zico lunged at Mark, daggers materializing in his hands.

Zico charged at Mark with his daggers, unleashing a flurry of strikes. Mark drew his pistols and fired a barrage of energy infused bullets, but Zico dodged and weaved between the shots with incredible agility. The hail of swords rained down around them, but they moved too fast.

Mark leapt into the air, firing a powerful blast from his pistols that Zico barely avoided. Zico appeared behind mark's back and retaliated with a kick, but Mark dodged it by a hair's breadth. The force of the kick sent Mark flying down to the ground but he got up immediately and fired another barrage of bullets that Zico deflected with his daggers.

The swords continued to hail down, their blades clashing and sparking as they struck the ground. Zico and Mark danced between the blades, their movements barely visible as they exchanged blow for blow. Mark's pistols glowed with energy as he fired shot after shot, but Zico's daggers seemed to absorb the impacts, glowing with an intense red light:

"Is that all?!" Mark shouted

Zico unleashed a mighty roar, his daggers flashed with fierce energy. He charged at Mark, unleashing a devastating combination of slashes and stabs. Mark stumbled back, his eyes widening as Zico's daggers sliced through the air mere inches from his face.

While mark was still stunned Zico kicked Mark and sent him flying to the ground. Mark stared directly at the sky and saw the number of swords coming for him.

"Haaaaa!" Mark screamed in agony as nine swords swords stabbed him his daggers disappeared as He pulled the swords out and was left with only 1, He struggled to his feet.

'I need to leave if I get a chance he's transformed, but not using his true power, he must be underrating me' he thought, knowing he had to escape.

Zico didn't pursue Mark, but instead, intensified his spiritual pressure, pinning Mark to the ground. The swords ceased their movement, and Mark was left helpless, writhing in pain.

'The training wasn't pointless... damn this whole situation,' he thought, frustrated.

Zico sneered, "I hate you so much that I want you to suffer a torturous death. You deserve to die in agony."

Mark retorted, still pinned to the ground:

"Hahahaha, you sound like a cliché story villain. But you're irrelevant because you're not even cool."

"Does it matter?" Zico sneered, his eyes gleaming with confidence and indifference:

"This is the second time you're losing to me, Son of God Slayer." With a flick of his wrist, he threw his daggers into the sky, but they vanished into thin air.

"Who told you that you won this battle?" Mark asked, still wincing in pain:

"My practice wasn't in vain, if you should know."

Zico chuckled:

"I'm really surprised. Tell me about it..." He paused, his gaze gleaming with mischief: "Daggers, hail!"

As he spoke, thousands of daggers materialized in the sky, their blades glinting in the light. The air was filled with the deadly whisper of their descent. Mark stared at the sky in disbelief, how could someone get this strong.

"Don't think much just die!" Zico shouted
