RANDOM BULLSHIT GO!!
==========
Just as Reagan was starting to feel more at ease, enjoying the quiet moments with Morty in the surreal dimension they'd chosen for their date, a loud crash interrupted their conversation. Reagan flinched as the ground beneath them trembled, and the tranquil setting of the restaurant seemed to distort around them.
"What the hell?" Reagan muttered, her hand gripping the table as her eyes darted around, searching for the source of the chaos.
Morty sighed, leaning back in his chair, almost as if he expected it.
"Looks like things are about to get interesting," he said with a smirk.
Before Reagan could ask what he meant, the wall of the restaurant suddenly exploded inward. A group of robotic creatures, sleek and metallic with glowing red eyes, marched into the room, scanning the area.
"Morty Smith," one of the robots said in a flat, mechanical voice.
"You are under arrest for unauthorized dimensional interference."
Reagan's eyes widened.
"Wait, what? You're being arrested? By robots?"
Morty stood up, rolling his eyes.
"Yeah, this happens more often than you'd think. These guys are probably some Dimensional Patrol. They're sticklers for the rules. Probably got triggered by me transforming the car into a spaceship."
Morty obviously could easily bypass their system but he was simply bored and wanted some thrill. And a reason to test out his Primatrix update.
Reagan blinked, her mind racing.
"And you're just… okay with that?"
Morty shrugged, cracking his knuckles.
"Not really. But I don't plan on going quietly."
Without missing a beat, Morty reached into his coat pocket and pulled out a small device. With a quick flick of his wrist, the device unfolded into what looked like a futuristic blaster. He aimed it at the robots and fired, sending a burst of energy that short-circuited two of them instantly.
"Morty!" Reagan shouted, jumping to her feet.
"What are you doing?!"
"Improvising!" he shouted back, ducking as one of the remaining robots fired a laser in his direction.
Reagan's heart raced. She had dealt with dangerous situations before, thanks to her work at Cognito Inc., but this? This was something else entirely. Still, she wasn't about to let Morty handle this on his own.
Grabbing a nearby chair, Reagan hurled it at one of the robots, distracting it long enough for Morty to shoot it down.
"What's the plan here, Morty?"
"The plan," Morty said, dodging another blast,
"Is to take care of these guys, get out of here, and figure out why they're after me now. It's probably just a misunderstanding, but they're not the type to talk things out."
Before Reagan could respond, Morty pushed a button on his Primatrix. A familiar glow surrounded him, and in a flash, his body transformed into the spectral, ghostly form of Ghostfreak. He phased through the robots, easily dodging their attacks.
Reagan stood frozen, wide-eyed.
"Okay, that's… a lot to take in."
"Don't worry," Morty's eerie voice echoed through the room,
"I've got this."
With Ghostfreak's abilities, Morty became intangible, passing through walls and machinery, short-circuiting the remaining robots with a simple touch. In less than a minute, the Dimensional Patrol units were reduced to sparking heaps on the ground.
Morty turned back to Reagan, the eerie form of Ghostfreak standing tall in front of her.
"All clear now," he said, his voice distorted but still recognizable.
Reagan blinked, her mind struggling to catch up.
"That… was actually kind of impressive."
With another press of the Primatrix, Morty reverted to his human form, shaking out his shoulders like it was just another day in the life.
"Told you I had this."
Just as the last of the robots lay sparking on the ground, the restaurant's patrons, who had been watching in stunned silence, began to scatter, leaving Morty and Reagan alone in the wreckage.
"Well, that was a fun distraction," Morty said, brushing some dust off his coat.
"But we should probably get out of here before the Dimensional Patrol sends reinforcements."
Reagan nodded, her heart still racing from the adrenaline.
"Yeah, let's… let's do that."
As they exited the restaurant and made their way back to Morty's car, Reagan couldn't help but laugh.
"So, is this a normal thing for you? Getting into random fights with interdimensional law enforcement during dates?"
Morty shrugged, unlocking the car.
"You'd be surprised. But hey, at least it's never boring, right?"
Reagan chuckled, sliding into the passenger seat.
"I guess I can't argue with that."
As they took off, heading back into space, Reagan's thoughts drifted to how bizarre her life had just become. But instead of feeling overwhelmed, she felt… excited.
For the first time in a long time, she felt like she was part of something bigger, something more thrilling than the conspiracies and cover-ups she dealt with at Cognito Inc.
"So," Reagan said, glancing at Morty.
"What now?"
Morty smirked, tapping a few buttons on the dashboard.
"Well, we could go back to a normal date… or we could follow up on whatever the Dimensional Patrol was after and turn this into a full-blown adventure."
Reagan raised an eyebrow, a grin forming on her face.
"Are you kidding? Let's go on an adventure."
With a laugh, Morty punched the accelerator, and the car shot forward, disappearing into the vast expanse of space, leaving behind the quiet dimension and heading into the unknown.
The space around them hummed as Morty's car sliced through the stars. Reagan leaned back, her mind still buzzing from everything that had just happened. It wasn't every day you found yourself on a date with a multi-dimensional traveler who turned into a ghost and fought off interdimensional law enforcement.
"So, what's the next stop on our random adventure?" Reagan asked, the adrenaline of their recent battle still pumping through her veins.
Morty smirked as he tapped a few buttons on the dashboard.
"I dunno. I figured I'd let the universe decide again. Could be anything. You up for more surprises?"
Reagan chuckled.
"At this point, I don't think I could handle not being surprised."
The dashboard of the car glowed brightly as Morty's randomizer kicked into gear, scanning through countless coordinates and dimensional portals. A sudden beeping noise caught Morty's attention, and he raised an eyebrow as a particular destination blinked on the screen.
"Looks like we're heading to Dimension 45-C," Morty said with a grin.
"It's marked as… huh, 'Jungle of Living Gods'? That sounds interesting."
Reagan's eyes widened.
"Wait, gods? Like, actual gods?"
Morty shrugged.
"Maybe. Or it could just be some locals who call themselves gods. Either way, we'll find out soon enough."
The car shot forward, accelerating towards a swirling portal that appeared in front of them. Within seconds, they were engulfed in a blinding light, and when the light faded, they found themselves hovering above an enormous jungle that seemed to stretch on endlessly.
Massive trees, each the size of skyscrapers, loomed over a misty landscape below. The sky was a surreal shade of purple, and strange creatures with glowing wings soared above the treetops.
"Whoa," Reagan breathed.
"This place is… beautiful. But definitely ominous."
Morty grinned.
"Yeah, looks like a good spot for adventure."
He brought the car down to land at the edge of a clearing. As they stepped out, the thick, humid air of the jungle hit them immediately. The sounds of rustling leaves and distant roars echoed through the trees, giving the entire place an eerie, otherworldly vibe.
"So, what's the plan?" Reagan asked, eyeing the dense forest in front of them.
"Just… wander around until we find some 'living gods'?"
Morty glanced around, tapping the Primatrix on his wrist.
"Pretty much. But I'll be ready in case things get weird." He smirked.
"Which, they probably will."
They ventured deeper into the jungle, stepping over massive roots and ducking under vines that seemed to pulse with life. As they walked, Reagan couldn't help but feel a strange energy in the air. It was almost as if the jungle itself was alive, watching them, waiting for something.
After about an hour of trekking through the dense foliage, they came upon a massive stone temple hidden deep within the trees. The temple was ancient, covered in moss and vines, but there was something distinctly unnatural about it. The stone shimmered with a faint glow, and strange symbols were etched into its surface.
"Okay, this is definitely the place," Morty said, his eyes scanning the structure.
"I'm getting serious 'living gods' vibes from this."
As they approached the entrance, the ground beneath them began to tremble. Reagan stumbled, grabbing Morty's arm for support as the massive stone doors of the temple slowly creaked open on their own. A deep, booming voice echoed from within.
"Who dares to disturb the sanctum of the Living Gods?"
Reagan's heart raced as she glanced at Morty, but he seemed more excited than afraid. He stepped forward, calling out,
"Just a couple of adventurers! We're here to check out the place, maybe meet some gods. You know, casual stuff."
The voice rumbled again.
"Many have come before you, seeking power, fortune, and glory. None have left."
"Well, we're not really here for any of that," Morty said with a casual shrug.
"Just bored, honestly."
There was a pause, as if the voice didn't quite know how to respond to Morty's nonchalance. Then, with a loud crash, the stone doors swung open fully, revealing a dark hallway that seemed to stretch on forever.
Reagan swallowed nervously.
"Are we really doing this?"
Morty flashed her a reassuring grin.
"Don't worry. If things get bad, I'll just turn into something that can handle it."
Taking a deep breath, Reagan nodded, and they stepped into the temple together. As they walked down the dimly lit hallway, strange carvings on the walls seemed to come alive, shifting and moving as if telling an ancient story. The further they went, the more intense the energy in the air became, until it was almost suffocating.
At the end of the hallway, they entered a vast chamber. At its center stood four towering figures, each radiating a different kind of energy. One was wreathed in flames, another surrounded by water, a third crackling with electricity, and the last, cloaked in shadow. These were the so-called "Living Gods."
"You have entered our domain," the fire-wreathed god spoke, his voice like an inferno.
"Now, you must prove your worth."
Reagan looked at Morty, wide-eyed.
"Prove our worth? What does that mean?"
Morty sighed, tapping the Primatrix.
"It means things are about to get interesting again."
As the Living Gods prepared to strike, Morty tapped the Primatrix on his wrist and smirked at Reagan.
"Ready for some action?"
Reagan glanced nervously at the towering gods but nodded, her resolve hardening.
"Let's do it. I'm not sitting this one out."
Morty's wrist glowed brightly as he transformed into his newly created alien, Mahoraga. His form shifted into a towering, muscular humanoid figure with four wings protruding from its eye sockets and a tail-like appendage extending from the back of its head. Hovering just above this is a large eight-handled wheel. His voice, deeper and more resonant in this form, echoed through the chamber.
"Alright, time to see how adaptable these gods are."
Reagan, meanwhile, tapped into her own tech. Pulling out a small device from her coat, she activated it, and a shimmering shield of energy appeared around her body. She grinned up at Morty.
"I'm not as flashy as you, but I've got a few tricks of my own."
The Living Gods, sensing the threat, launched their attack. The fire god sent a massive wave of flames towards them, while the water god followed with a tidal wave, the lightning god hurled bolts of electricity, and the shadow god's tendrils snaked across the ground, all aimed at overwhelming them.
Morty, in his Mahoraga form, was more than ready. His body shifted instantly, adapting to the flames by becoming heat-resistant and reflective. He turned toward Reagan, his voice casual despite the danger.
"I'll handle most of this, but feel free to join in whenever."
Reagan grinned, her energy shield shimmering brightly as the tidal wave of water approached.
"Don't worry about me, I can handle myself." She activated a set of boosters on her feet, propelling herself above the water, flipping in midair and landing on a nearby stone pillar. From her vantage point, she pulled out a multi-functional gadget that fired a blast of concentrated energy at the water god's chest, causing it to stagger.
"Nice shot!" Morty called, dodging a lightning strike as his body absorbed the electricity, redirecting it harmlessly into the ground. His wheel spun faster, slicing through the shadow god's tendrils as they tried to ensnare him. The gods' attacks were relentless, but Morty's Mahoraga form was perfectly suited to adapting to whatever they threw at him.
Reagan, now fully engaged in the fight, continued to dodge and counterattack. Her quick thinking and agility allowed her to stay one step ahead of the gods, and her energy blasts kept them off balance.
"This is insane!" she shouted, laughing as she narrowly avoided another bolt of lightning.
Morty chuckled as he phased through the flames of the fire god.
"You're telling me! But you're doing great!"
The two of them moved in sync, their bond growing stronger with each passing moment. Reagan, despite not having Morty's alien abilities, held her own with quick reflexes and ingenuity, using her tech to disrupt the gods' rhythm while Morty handled the heavy lifting. Together, they made the perfect team.
At one point, the shadow god tried to envelop Reagan in darkness, but Morty was already adapting. His alien form shifted once more, allowing him to see through the void. With a swift movement, he slashed through the shadow tendrils, freeing Reagan before she could be overwhelmed.
"Thanks!" Reagan called, landing a solid energy shot that knocked the lightning god off balance.
"No problem!" Morty replied, grinning.
"Let's finish this."
As the gods regrouped for a final assault, Morty and Reagan shared a quick glance, a spark of excitement passing between them. This wasn't just about defeating the gods anymore—they were both having the time of their lives, fighting side by side in an epic battle.
With a roar, the fire god sent a massive pillar of flame toward them, but Morty stepped forward, his body shimmering as it absorbed the heat.
"Too slow!" he shouted, dashing forward and slamming into the fire god, sending him crashing to the ground.
Meanwhile, Reagan used her tech to create a barrier of pure energy, blocking the water god's next attack. She gritted her teeth, her fingers flying over her gadget's controls as she redirected the energy into a focused beam, striking the water god square in the chest.
The gods were starting to falter. Their attacks became slower, more desperate. Sensing victory, Morty tapped into Mahoraga's full power, the wheel behind him spinning rapidly as his body glowed with adaptive energy. He charged at the lightning god, his claws crackling with absorbed electricity, and slashed through the god's defenses, sending him to his knees.
Reagan, not to be outdone, delivered a final blast of energy to the shadow god, watching as his dark form dissipated into nothingness.
Within moments, the battle was over. The once-mighty Living Gods knelt before them, drained and defeated.
"You have proven yourselves," the fire god said weakly, his voice a mere shadow of its former power.
