Placing Clifford's body softly on the floor, Credo wondered how his healing ability worked. As far as Credo could tell, the body was already dead with no soul or organs to keep it alive, yet it was regenerating itself as insignificant parts grew into fully functioning organs. Following this, the missing flesh slowly returned, and Clifford's skin covered it as it came into existence.
"No, the body is not healing itself at all. It's that energy again, but why couldn't I sense it at all when you were 'alive'?!" Recovering his human disguise, Credo rubbed his golden hair, unable to conclude, "Whatever, I guess it's fine as long as it works. It's not like he's the only monster in this empire." Sighing with relief, Credo sat on the ground, meditating to refill his Qi supply. A few hours later, Clifford found himself awake in the same place where he had previously lost consciousness.
"How long did I sleep for?" Yawning, Clifford muttered while looking around.
