The time passed quickly and soon enough, Clifford found himself standing in the great hall of the royal palace. The majority of men shared similar attires to him, some came along their partners and some were alone like him, especially the younger ones. The majority of the faces around him were unrecognizable but he saw some were people he already knew.
Surprisingly, those aware of what he did in the tournament were not completely surprised by his presence as if they knew the plan all along. But deep down he knew why, since this banquet was about giving him a noble title then he guessed that the majority probably knew why they were here as well.
