Chapter 1 - prologue

"Miss Montclair, it's morning already," a woman's voice was heard from beside me. Geez, I'm having a dream that I'm that villainess. Hmm. She may act like a bitch, but I'd act the same if my fiancé cheated on me with some other woman. But can I really talk? I am a man after all—ow, that hurt! Wait, why did I feel pain in my dream?

"Miss Montclair, get up this instant!" As I turned to look at my left side, I saw a maid. She was probably around in her late 30s. If I remember correctly, she's one of two maids for Isadora von Montclair.

Wait?! I'm getting sidetracked. Why the hell did I feel pain?! "Miss Claire! You shouldn't be slapping our Duchess!" The maid from my right said, as I rubbed my cheek, I wondered something... Did I get transported into the manhwa I read last night?

"Shit~" I said slowly.

"Miss Montclair!"

"Miss Montclair!"

Both maids said in sync. So if I'm transported into the movel, that makes me a girl now. Wait, does that mean I have... As I looked down, I saw two bags on my chest. I have breasts. Wait! This is no time to be a pervert.

Okay, so I was reading a novel and got transported into Isadora von Montclair's body. She's engaged to... darn it, I forgot his name... Prince Edward? I think?

As I kept pondering, I realized I was in the bath, being washed by the two maids. The young one is named Miss Cordelia Hawthorne, and the older one is named Madame Genevieve St. Claire.

As for me, I'm Isadora von Montclair. I'm no longer my old self. Ah, this sucks, and just when that cute barista asked me out!

This sucks. I'm gonna get cheated on and have a brutal death by suicide. I should make a plan. This all connects to me being engaged to that prince, so my first step is to cancel the engagement. "Miss Hawthorne, what's the date?" I asked Cordelia.

"August 17th, Miss Montclair," she said politely as she washed my arm. So if I'm correct, he's already romancing with the heroine. Good, that gives me an excuse to call the engagement off. Hmph, first step is done.

"Miss Montclair, why are you staring at my chest?" Claire asked. I was too sidetracked to realize I zoned out and was looking at their breasts. Shit, I feel like a pervert.

I said nothing and looked away. By then, it's already evening. As I looked out the window, I wanted Claire to send a letter to the prince. "Miss Claire, would you be so kind as to send this letter to the prince?" I handed the letter I wrote to her.

"Might I ask what this is for?" She asked.

"Oh, it's just a letter saying I'm canceling our engagement," I said calmly. Both maids fell silent.
