Chapter 435 - Untitled

"Oh, wow, they've opened up the three-child policy already?"

Ren stared at the news headline on his phone, clicking his tongue in amazement.

From what the news revealed, it seemed like the government was making a significant push for population growth. Ren guessed they might even follow the path of countries like Japan and South Korea, rolling out a host of birth incentives soon.

But honestly, that wasn't what Ren was really focused on. Turning to his little daughter Yueyue, he asked with a grin, "Yueyue, how about becoming a lawyer when you grow up?"

"A lawyer?" Yueyue tilted her head in confusion. "Why?"

"Because it pays well!" Ren replied earnestly.

After all, with more kids, the biggest headache was bound to be inheritance disputes. This one gets more, that one complains; the other gets less, and they throw a fit. When the parents pass away, it all ends up in court over who gets what.

And it's not just inheritance—custody battles in divorces, financial disputes—lawyers were always in high demand.

"It's all about money with you! So tacky!" Yueyue shot him a disdainful glance.

She thought her dad had no dreams at all. He was always going on about money, money, money. How boring and uninspired!

"Oh yeah? Then what's your dream, Miss High Ideals?" Ren smirked, folding his arms.

If she thought talking about money was beneath her, he was curious what lofty aspirations his daughter might have.

"I want to open a big snack factory!" Yueyue stretched her arms wide, eyes sparkling like stars. She even licked her lips. "That way, I can have tons of snacks to eat!"

"You little foodie~"

At that moment, Jada walked over and gently tapped Yueyue's forehead.

Yueyue giggled sheepishly while Jada turned her attention to Ren. "By the way, your Goal Scorers manga passed review. Time for you to start updating it."

"Got it!" Ren exhaled in relief, a grin spreading across his face.

A Few Days Later

"A soccer manga, huh?"

Daniel sat on his couch, flipping to the final panel that read To Be Continued.

This new manga was a collaboration between the national soccer association and Picca Comics. From what Daniel could tell, the association had invited the Porter to create it.

But…

"Chinese soccer is beyond saving. What's a manga supposed to do?"

Daniel sighed deeply.

Soccer in the country was as hopeless as when a famous doctor declared, "Medicine can't save the people."

Ever since the infamous own-goal incident in the last match, Daniel had decided he was done watching soccer altogether.

Still…

Reading a manga about soccer was different.

He decided to give it a try. After all, the Porter's track record for sports manga was solid. Even Go Spirit, a story about sitting still and playing Go, was thrilling under the Porter's pen. How much more exciting could a soccer manga be, with all the action and movement?

But for now, Daniel set the new manga aside. He was more eager to catch up on Fate/Stay Night (FSN).

FSN: Unraveling Archer's Identity

In the latest chapter of FSN, Archer's true identity had finally been revealed: he was none other than a future version of Shirou Emiya himself.

As a heroic spirit bound by the world's Counter Force, Archer had come to resent the naive ideals he once held as a young man. Participating in the Holy Grail War, he sought to kill his past self to erase his own existence and escape the endless cycle of regret.

Daniel opened the manga and dove straight into the continuation of Shirou and Archer's battle inside Archer's Unlimited Blade Works reality marble.

A Battle of Ideals

Even though Archer was weakened, his combat skills allowed him to land blow after blow on Shirou without taking any damage himself. Shirou, meanwhile, relied on the Avalon scabbard to keep himself alive, fighting on despite his injuries.

"To become a hero of justice—that's the dream entrusted to me by my father!" Shirou shouted as he charged forward, defying his injuries. "That dream isn't wrong!"

"Come on, Shirou! Don't lose to yourself!"

"Keep fighting!"

Readers couldn't help but root for Shirou, even though they knew the outcome.

Ultimately, Shirou's determination and unyielding spirit won out. He drove his blade into Archer's chest, shattering the Unlimited Blade Works and bringing their fight to an end.

"I've won, Archer!" Shirou said softly, looking at his future self.

"And yet, I've lost…" Archer replied, closing his eyes.

Readers understood that Archer still had the strength to fight. As a Servant, even with his chest pierced, he could have kept going. But this wasn't just a physical battle—it was a clash of ideals. The fact that Shirou, a mere human, had managed to pierce Archer's chest was proof of his victory.

"He's finally free," one reader mused.

But Daniel felt like something was missing.

He didn't have to wait long to find out what.

A Treacherous Blow

Countless weapons rained down, piercing Archer's body. Daniel didn't even need to check to know who was responsible.

"It's that damn helpful citizen again!"

Gilgamesh had struck.

The same Gilgamesh who had ripped out Illya's heart in UBW now launched a sneak attack on Archer.

Daniel's hatred for Gilgamesh surged anew.

In the HF route, Gilgamesh had managed to earn a sliver of respect from Daniel, but now all of that was gone.

"Gilgamesh won't die fast enough to satisfy me," Daniel grumbled.

To heighten Archer's tragic end, the Porter wrote the scene so that Gilgamesh's attack had originally been aimed at Shirou. At the last moment, Archer pushed Shirou out of the way, taking the hit himself.

"You… said you wouldn't turn out like me," Archer said weakly, blood dripping from his mouth as he looked down at Shirou. "Then remember this… When you chase your ideals, don't forget to honor the people around you… or you'll only end up regretting it."

As he spoke, Archer's gaze lingered on Rin, who stood frozen in shock nearby. A faint smile appeared on his lips.

"Otherwise, the future me… will come back to kill you again. And that guy… He's all yours to handle."
