In the end, Yueyue got a thorough scolding from Jada. Her palms and bottom both bore the brunt of it. Yueyue was so mad at Ren that she didn't talk to him for a long time.
She felt that her dad was too mean! He had told her mom about her plan, which led to her getting spanked.
When she confronted Ren about why he had told, his response left her speechless.
"I only promised not to hit you. I never promised not to tell your mom."
Yueyue was stunned and immediately regretted her oversight.
Of course! Dad hadn't hit her. How could she have forgotten to make him promise not to tell Mom?
While Yueyue was regretting her mistake, Jada's company began promoting the film "The Garden of Sinners: Remaining Sense of Pain" as a summer movie release.
As for the Tiga movie? It was only May when the news came out, so it wasn't realistic for it to be released in just two months.
However, "The Garden of Sinners" had its own substantial fanbase, especially after the release of the Fate series. Since Saber and Ryougi Shiki looked alike, many who watched Fate were also interested in "The Garden of Sinners."
This led to a lot of excitement among fans when they heard about the new release.
"I've been waiting an entire year for this! Finally, a new Garden of Sinners movie!!!"
The first "Garden of Sinners" movie had premiered exactly a year ago during the summer.
Shiki's blue eyes and the line, "Even if it's God, I'll kill him for you," had struck a chord with the audience like a comet, leaving a deep impression and introducing them to a mysterious and grand world.
But during last year's New Year's season, there had been no news.
"I thought it was going to be like Tokyo Ghoul and Attack on Titan, with the first part released and then nothing more!"
Leaving fans hanging without closure was something many couldn't stand. Speaking of Tokyo Ghoul and Attack on Titan, many fans sighed in frustration.
"I still remember the teaser at the end of the first part: 'The one who feels joy in encountering death, the one who awakens to their origin in evading death.' Which one will it be this time?"
Fortunately, though it took a while, Ren hadn't forgotten about the sequel. Before the fans' anger could fully erupt, he finally filled the gap.
However, like the first movie, this one didn't get released in the five major cinema chains, so viewership wasn't at its peak.
Still, Ren's strong fanbase gave "The Garden of Sinners: Remaining Sense of Pain" a good start.
This buzz also influenced other viewers to buy tickets, helping maintain good attendance and profitability.
Of course, Ren's version of "Remaining Sense of Pain" had notable differences from the original.
For instance, the beginning was different.
In the original, there was a scene showing Fujino Asagami being abused by thugs. However, knowing there were many young fans, Ren opted to convey this through dialogue in later scenes without graphic imagery.
He also enhanced the romantic elements, like the relationship between Fujino and Gakuto, and Ryougi Shiki and Mikiya, while reducing some darker themes.
Additionally, he added more intense action scenes.
With fans eagerly awaiting, "Remaining Sense of Pain" premiered.
Despite Ren's efforts to tone down the darker scenes, the movie still had a dark theme. Yet, his smooth storytelling captivated most viewers, leaving them thrilled.
This installment tells the story of Fujino Asagami, whose father suppressed her powers, causing her to develop a condition where she couldn't feel pain. After being tortured by a gang, she used her family's powers for the first time, killing four of them.
Her father, upon learning this, asked Touko to kill Fujino. However, Gakuto opposed this and asked Touko to save her instead.
The story then unfolds.
Every character, aside from the mere bystanders, left a deep impression on the audience, helping them remember each one better.
Especially Fujino, who, despite being a murderer, elicited sympathy rather than fear.
She was pitied because she couldn't feel pain since childhood, not even the pain from illnesses.
The audience directed their anger at Fujino's father. He caused her inability to feel pain and failed to protect her when she was abused. When she fought back, he immediately sought to have her killed?
A terrible father! No, even worse.
"Does it hurt?"
Shiki stood at the end of Fujino's pain, holding a knife.
Fujino tilted her body upwards, facing Shiki.
"If it hurts, why don't you just say so?"
Shiki said this before plunging the knife into Fujino's body.
At this point, many audience members couldn't bear to watch.
Would this poor girl really die here?
Thankfully, as the conversation between Touko and Mikiya revealed, Fujino didn't die!
Like in the first movie, where Shiki killed the ghost haunting her, here she used her Mystic Eyes to kill the pain from Fujino's appendix burst and peritonitis.
"See, Shiki is still so kind!"
"Especially when she acts all nonchalant, saying, 'I've already killed you once, so I'm not interested anymore,' it's adorable!"
Beyond the plot, the most memorable scene was the showdown between Fujino and Shiki under the bridge during a typhoon.
Initially, Fujino had the upper hand with her Mystic Eyes, injuring Shiki's left arm, making the audience feel for her.
However, due to the limitations of not being able to twist what she couldn't see and her inexperience, Shiki eventually overcame her.
In the final moment, Fujino's eyes awakened to a new ability, and she twisted the entire bridge, providing a visually stunning scene.
Whether it was Fujino's powers or Shiki's, the audience was in awe of Ren's imagination.
