In a room adorned with exquisite decorations, beings dressed in different robes could be seen.
All of their faces were covered by a veil making it impossible to see their faces.
"It seems the demon king has chosen a successor" One of the mighty veiled beings spoke his voice echoing loudly in the room even though he spoke calmly.
"He must be killed at once!" One of the veiled beings clamored.
"He is a threat to everything that we have created!" Another being yelled.
"The demon king's choice is not to be taken lightly," a third being intervened, its voice laced with a hint of caution.
"We must consider the implications of his decision. Perhaps this successor is not a threat, but an opportunity." The room fell silent, as the veiled beings pondered the possibility.
One of them stepped forward, its movements graceful and deliberate. "I will take on this task. I will observe the successor and determine whether he is a threat or an asset." The being turned to face the others, its veil glinting in the light. "If he is deemed a threat, I will be the one to eliminate him." The others nodded in agreement, their veils rustling softly as they bowed their heads in unison. And with that, the fate of Seth, the new demon king, was sealed.
Back in the human realm, Seth had tried to pave his way through the forest to the village since the warehouse was relatively far from the village but he had been suddenly stopped by a group of bandits.
The bandits, armed to the teeth and looking like they hadn't bathed in weeks, sneered at Seth as they surrounded him.
Their leader, a burly man with a scar above his left eyebrow, stepped forward, eyeing Seth's wound. "Well, well, well. What do we have here? A little lamb, all alone and hurt. What are you doing so far from home, hmm?" Seth's eyes narrowed, his hand instinctively going to the scalpel still lodged in his chest.
He could feel a dark energy coursing through his veins, urging him to unleash his fury upon these newfound foes.
"I'm just passing through," Seth growled, his voice low and menacing.
The bandits snickered, thinking him no threat. But little did they know, Seth was no longer the same timid soul he once was.
The transformation had begun, and the demon king's power was awakening within him.
His eyes shined with a red glint and a purple ominous aura surrounded him making the bandits to instinctively take a few steps backward.
The bandits' eyes widened in terror as they beheld the eerie transformation.
Seth's eyes burned with an otherworldly red intensity, and the purple aura that surrounded him seemed to pulse with a malevolent energy.
The air grew thick with an unsettling presence as if the very darkness itself was coalescing around him.
The bandits' leader, attempting to regain his composure, took a step forward, but his voice trembled as he spoke, "W-what sorcery is this? You're... you're not human!"
Seth's response was a low, menacing chuckle, as he began to walk towards them, his movements eerily fluid and graceful. The bandits, paralyzed with fear, couldn't move or look away, transfixed by the terrifying spectacle unfolding before them.
With a swift move, Seth dashed towards the leader in a burst of pace, he grabbed his head and smashed it into the earth below them.
The leader's skull crunched against the hard ground, the sound echoing through the forest like a gruesome drumbeat.
The other bandits froze in horror, their eyes fixed on the scene unfolding before them. Seth's grip remained locked, his hand grasping the leader's head like a vice, as he gazed into the bandit's terrified eyes. A dark, malevolent energy pulsed through Seth's body, his eyes blazing with an intense, otherworldly power. The bandits, paralyzed with fear, couldn't move or flee, as if rooted to the spot.
One by one, they fell to the ground, their bodies contorting in unnatural positions as if some unseen force was manipulating their limbs like puppets on a string. Seth's aura had become a maelstrom of darkness, consuming everything in its path.
The forest itself seemed to be twisting and writhing in agony as if the very fabric of reality was being torn apart by Seth's transformation.
"P-Please have mercy!" the bandits tried pleading for their lives but Seth turned a deaf ear to their whining and continued with his actions
Seth's gaze remained unforgiving, his eyes burning with an intense, demonic fury.
He began to move through the bandits, his touch igniting a dark, ethereal energy that coursed through their bodies.
They screamed in agony as their forms began to contort and twist, their limbs elongating and merging with the earth itself. Roots and vines burst forth from the ground, ensnaring them as if the forest was itself exacting revenge.
The bandits' cries grew fainter, their bodies becoming one with the land, their souls trapped in a living nightmare.
Seth's power was a force of nature, unstoppable and merciless. And when the last bandit fell silent, the forest was still, the only sound the heavy breathing of the new demon king, his reign of terror just beginning.
