As he wandered through the town, pondering over the information he had just learned, curiosity about this world and its unique way of harnessing magic
After a while, Dan decided to return to the manor. As he reached the front gate, he saw Sebastian standing outside, looking somewhat pensive. Wondering why Bastion was waiting, Dan called out, "Bastion! What are you doing out here?" as he approached him.
Sebastian turned towards him, a serious expression on his face. "I was waiting for you, Dan. There's something we need to discuss," he said, his tone indicating the importance of what he had to say.
Dan frowned, concerned by Sebastian demeanor. "Say what's on your mind."
Sebastian hesitated, struggling to find the right words. "Well, how to put this... I just can't do this anymore, and I can't tell my father about it." He looked away, his voice trembling slightly.
Sebastian looked at Dan and shook his head. "What I'm trying to say...," he hesitated, looking down. Finally, he looked back up at Dan and said, "Never mind," before turning and walking away.
Dan looked puzzled, sensing that something significant was going on. He knew Sebastian was dealing with something serious, but decided to respect his privacy.
"If he wants to tell me, he will," Dan thought to himself. "It's not my business to pry."
Dan followed Sebastian as they both entered the manor. Once inside, Dan headed to his room
Dan that lay on his bed as Dan lay on his bed, his mind wandered to what Sebastian might have wanted to say. Dan tried to sleep it off, but he couldn't shake the feeling that something was wrong. He got up and walked out of his room, heading straight to Sebastian room.
He knocked on the door and said, "Sebastian, are you awake?"
No response came. Dan knocked again, louder this time. "Are you in there?"
Still no response. Dan tried to open the door, but it was locked. Frustrated, he banged louder on the door.
Finally, Dan used his strength and broke the door open. He looked around but saw no one inside, only an open window with a rope dangling from it. Dan walked to the window and looked out, but he didn't see Sebastian. He then looked around the room and saw a letter on the bed. He walked over and picked it up to read:
The letter read:
Father,
I never wanted to do this, but I couldn't find another way. I can't go through with the marriage. Please, don't try to find me.
Your son,
Sebastian
