After what felt like an eternity, I finally caught sight of her up ahead. She had stopped in a small clearing, her back to me, shoulders heaving with each breath. I approached cautiously, not wanting to startle her.
"Christiana," I said gently, "please, let's talk."
Suddenly a large creature approached us from the dense forest.
I recognized him as the guardian beast of this forest, so we were safe for now, even if we were inside the danger zone.
Then Christiana opened her mouth to say the words, that baffled me the most today.
"I know everything."
"Everything, you say?" I asked her in confusion.
The guardian beast watched over us, while Christiana looked towards one of the tall trees and it's branches, placing her hand on it.
Her expression and her aura felt so different, as if she had gained some sort of enlightenment.
And suddenly she turned towards me with trembling eyes.
