As for this specific Brawler Mech in particular, having used it for a long time serving the Philadelphus police already and personalizing it, Joe ordered for a mech technician to tweak and add a quirk to it.
This quirk was stuffing the giant machine with volatile explosives.
During normal usage, the Brawler Mech would actively expend energy to make sure that the volatile explosives were not triggered.
