"Hikari, I hope this letter finds you well.
I miss you a lot, even though it's only been a few days since we last spoke.
I'm aware of the situation, and there's no need for you to worry. I have my own plan, so just trust me and watch what happens.
How is your eyesight holding up? How much longer do you think it will last?
Please be honest with me—I'm doing everything I can to find a solution. Also, please be careful.
When you investigate 'Jigen' and 'Shell (Kara)', make sure you stay safe.
If your identity is compromised, you must protect yourself."
Uchiha Sogetsu paused briefly, then carefully folded the letter, sealed it with a fire stamp, and applied a sealing technique.
When he was done, he handed the letter to the ninja cat who had been quietly waiting under the table.
"Thanks, Riki." Uchiha Sogetsu patted the ninja cat gently and playfully rubbed its head. "Take care and make sure you give this to her."
Meow~
The ninja cat lazily meowed, then grabbed the letter in its mouth and disappeared into thin air.
"I suddenly feel more relaxed, but that makes me a bit uneasy."
Uchiha Sogetsu sipped his tea, letting himself enjoy this brief moment of leisure, and contemplated his next move.
Overall, he had completed about 50% of the preparations for the Third Ninja War.
Right now, the power he had accumulated could potentially change the outcome of a local battle. Though his plans were still in the early stages, he was relieved to know he had three to four years before the war began.
There's no need to rush—there's still plenty of time.
"Next, I need to deal with Danzo and Uchiha clan."
Uchiha Sogetsu rubbed his temples. These two groups were particularly sensitive. If he used too much psychological suggestion and hypnosis, he could attract unwanted attention.
At this point, the key was to stay hidden—any exposure could ruin his plans.
The biggest challenge ahead was figuring out the ritual process.
Beyonders of the 22 pathways to Godhood undergo a "transformation" when advancing from Sequence 5 to Sequence 4. This transformation is the first step on the path from mortal to god.
Sequence 4 Beyonders beings are often referred to as "demigods" because they belong to the higher echelons of the Beyonders hierarchy.
Their life force and soul undergo significant transformations, giving them an initial touch of "divine nature."
This shift extends their lifespan and grants them abilities far beyond the realm of ordinary humans, including the capacity to assume "Mythical Creature Forms."
However, from Sequence 5 onward, further advancement requires the ingestion of a Beyonder potion, supplemented by a specific "ritual."
Though the ritual isn't mandatory, drinking the potion alone carries a significant risk of losing control.
Because of this risk, Uchiha Sogetsu, who doesn't consider himself particularly lucky, dismissed the idea of advancing without a ritual.
The ritual for ascending to Sequence 4 along the Spectator Pathway involves taking the Beyonder potion in a setting with at least 10,000 people, where their collective emotional resonance is intense.
"There isn't much time to meet the requirements," Sogetsu thought, his eyes glimmering as he considered his options. "To choose the most suitable moment for the Sequence 4 ritual, there are currently only two possibilities."
He dipped his finger into a cup of tea and drew two dots on the table, marking the times he was considering. It was a habit from his previous life: when faced with a complex problem, he would write down his thoughts to help organize them.
The two times he identified were the 49th and 51st years of the Konoha calendar. Each had its own significant event.
The first was in Konoha 49, when the Third Ninja War erupted. The Iwa ninja secretly amassed 10,000 warriors to corner the Third Raikage. After three days and nights of intense combat, the Raikage finally succumbed to exhaustion and died.
This timing had a clear advantage—it met the ritual's requirement for 10,000 people. However, the challenge lay in directing their emotional resonance. How could he orchestrate the shared emotional impact among so many ninjas?
Sogetsu had a few ideas, like using tailed beasts or triggering localized skirmishes, but these required extensive preparation and commitment to align with Iwa Ninja and the ongoing war.
The short-term gain was clear, but the long-term impact on Iwagakure's structure and direction made this a less appealing option.
The second option was in Konoha 51, which was Sogetsu's preferred choice.
The Nine-Tails Rebellion exploited the Nine-Tails Jinchuuriki's vulnerability during childbirth to incite the Nine-Tails Rebellion, leading to the deaths of Namikaze Minato and Uzumaki Kushina.
The chaos in Konoha Village during the Nine-Tails Rebellion met the conditions required for the ceremony. Additionally, triggering intense emotions among the villagers was quite easy. However, the event was delayed by two full years compared to the original plan.
Being fast has its advantages, but moving slowly can have its reasons as well.
From the current perspective, both paths seem equally viable.
"Focus on setting up within Konoha Village, but we also need backup plans," Uchiha Sogetsu finally decided.
He chose to pursue both strategies simultaneously, allocating part of their resources to infiltrate Iwagakure.
Boom!
A sudden knock at the door interrupted his thoughts.
Uchiha Sogetsu frowned slightly, swept the moisture off his desk with a quick motion, and stood up to answer the door.
"Uchiha Sogetsu, someone's here to see you," announced a Uchiha clansman with a dismissive attitude, his eyes filled with barely concealed disdain.
"I know," replied Sogetsu calmly.
"Tch, traitor," muttered the man under his breath, shooting him a venomous glare before turning to leave.
Watching the other man's retreating figure, Sogetsu's expression remained composed, refusing to let it affect him.
"No wonder Fugaku failed. The Uchiha were doomed never to become Hokage from the beginning."
Among the Uchiha clan, his reputation was almost as notorious as Uzumaki Naruto's a decade later.
As one of the Uchiha clan's prodigies, I'd declined the invitation to join the Uchiha Police Guard, opting instead to align myself with the Hokage's faction.
Originally, I wasn't too unpopular in the clan, but then the Hokage announced that he was considering me as one of the Chunin examiners. Overnight, I became a 'celebrity' within the Uchiha clan, and let's just say it didn't sit well with some.
Don't ask why—it's just jealousy.
Everyone knows the Uchiha have long had their eyes on the Hokage's seat. This ambition wasn't new; it had been brewing for decades.
The clan's rhetoric had always been about protecting the second Hokage, fighting for the third and fourth, and aiming for the fifth, sixth, and seventh.
So, what happened?
Decades passed, and the clan's metaphorical sword had almost worn down from all the struggle. The Uchiha, as a clan, couldn't even get close to any position of power associated with the Hokage, let alone attain the position itself.
It became clear that as long as the fundamental dynamics didn't change, Uchiha would never get their chance.
"But that's okay."
Uchiha Sogetsu smirked, adjusting his glasses. "I'll fulfill your wishes my own way. Just don't blame me for how it ends."
He strode confidently out of his house, ignoring the resentful looks from his fellow Uchiha clan members.
"Shikaku?"
It was Nara Shikaku, heir to the Nara clan and a close ally of the Hokage. His hair was braided, and he had a calm demeanor. "Sogetsu, I'm here to discuss the Chunin exams with you, on orders from the Hokage-sama. Do you have time to talk?"
