Chapter 206 - Chapter 206 : Shocked Isshiki!!

'Jigen,' who had escaped from the Reincarnation Space back to reality, fell to his knees with a thud.

Even the ancient Otsutsuki Isshiki, who had lived for a millennium, was drenched in cold sweat, his heart filled with an unknown fear as he recalled the scene that had just unfolded.

What on earth was that gray-white dragon?

Otsutsuki Isshiki's face was ashen, his pupils trembling with a trace of dread. He had been to countless planets but had never encountered such a terrifying "creature."

Creature?

No, that thing could never be a mere "creature"!

Biting his lip, Isshiki shivered as he remembered how it felt. That entity seemed almost godlike!

*Ding~*

Just as Isshiki was still lost in fear, a coin suddenly rolled across the ground in front of him.

The golden coin spun a few times before coming to a steady stop at his feet.

Isshiki stared at the coin, dazed for a long while, before slowly lifting his head. He saw a nobleman dressed in luxurious attire, looking down at him with a sympathetic gaze.

It was only then that Isshiki realized he had hastily teleported without setting a destination and ended up in the Daimyo's city.

On the wide, stone-paved streets bustling with crowds, dozens of people gathered around him, led by the nobleman, tossing coins, paper money, food, and even vegetable leaves onto the ground in front of him.

"Amitabha~"

The nobleman chanted softly, then knelt down, gently supporting Isshiki, his eyes sincere as he said, "Benefactor, everyone faces difficulties when they are away from home, but it's alright. I have been a devout Buddhist since childhood. If you don't mind, I can host you for a few days."

"???"

Only then did Isshiki realize he had been mistaken for a beggar!

Embarrassed by his earlier behavior or perhaps because he felt underestimated, he was instantly enraged. "I am not a beggar, nor am I in need of help!"

His face contorted in anger as he forcefully shook off the nobleman's hand, his expression as cold as ice, and turned to walk away from the crowd.

"Benefactor, don't go~"

The young noble had a strong grip and managed to pull him off balance.

A vein throbbed on Isshiki's forehead, rage bubbling up inside him as he coldly glared at the nobleman. "Let go. I'll only say this once."

"Benefactor, please don't leave. I have loved Buddhism since I was a child, and it's rare to meet a monk. You must fulfill my wish." However, the nobleman seemed oblivious to Isshiki's warning, still gripping his arm with a look that said he wouldn't let him leave without agreeing.

*Black Rods of Sukunahikona!*

Not bothering to say anything more, Isshiki raised his hand, and several black rods shot out.

The nobleman was pierced through by the rods, and with immense force, he was dragged and pinned against the opposite side of the street.

"Hmph, courting death!"

Isshiki sneered, about to leave, but was once again pulled off balance.

"You damn fool, do you want to die?!"

In a fit of rage, he turned around only to see a small child, staring up at him with innocent eyes while licking a lollipop. The child said, "Mister, you killed someone. You can't just leave."

"Get out of my way!"

The fury in Ōtsutsuki Isshiki's eyes grew even more intense, as if the killing intent within him was uncontrollable. He threw a punch.

*Smack!*

The child's head shattered like a watermelon, blood and brain matter spilling across the ground.

"Who else dares to stop me?!"

Ōtsutsuki Isshiki roared at the surrounding crowd, exuding a terrifying aura of brutality, like a god of slaughter.

"You killed someone! You can't leave!"

"Yeah, killed someone and still wants to walk away? No way!"

"Everyone, get him! We can't let him escape!"

Surprisingly, the onlookers were not afraid; instead, they were enraged.

A tide of people surged forward, some grabbing weapons, others throwing objects. The entire street burst into chaos.

Blinded by his own rage, Ōtsutsuki Isshiki hadn't expected that a bunch of what he saw as mere ants would dare to challenge him. Placing his right palm heavily on the ground, he activated the power of his left eye.

"Since that's how it is, then all of you can just die—Shōmei Bikkuna!"

Black rods, like a forest of steel, burst out from the solid ground.

Hundreds of people, caught off guard, had no time to dodge and were impaled by the sharp rods, strung up like skewers.

The once noisy street fell silent in an instant, leaving behind only a gruesome, bloody scene.

Corpses pierced by the black rods hung high in the air, blood trickling down the rods, filling the street like a stream, the stench permeating the air.

"Pathetic ants... finally shut up, haven't you?"

After the massacre, Ōtsutsuki Isshiki relished the quiet, a satisfied smile spreading across his face.

Gazing at the bodies hanging above, and standing amidst the flowing blood, he took a deep breath. The pungent smell seemed almost sweet, and the violent thoughts in his mind calmed somewhat. Indeed, humans were just noisy pests, and it was better to get rid of them all.

After tidying his disheveled clothes, Ōtsutsuki Isshiki regained his composure and prepared to leave.

After all, causing such a commotion could easily lead to unrest, and for now, he had no intention of revealing himself, especially before he figured out the origin of the mysterious "creatures" that had appeared in the reincarnation space.

However, just as he stepped forward with his left foot, he suddenly felt something grab his ankle.

Ōtsutsuki Isshiki's expression changed slightly, his heart skipping a beat. He had just killed everyone—how could there still be someone left?

Stiffly, he turned his neck, his gaze slowly lowering.

Amidst the sticky blood and brain matter on the ground, the body of the child whose head had been smashed was somehow clutching his ankle, as if refusing to let the murderer leave.

"What... is this?!"

Ōtsutsuki Isshiki was shocked to his core. He swung his hand, driving a black rod through a corpse.

However, before he could fully process his shock, something even more bizarre and terrifying happened. The people impaled by the black rods began to tear their bodies apart.

With only half of their torn bodies remaining, they supported each other, stumbling through the pools of blood, slowly closing in on him.

Pairs of blood-red eyes glared at the 'murderer' with hatred and malice.

Thud, thud, thud.

Ōtsutsuki Isshiki instinctively took a few steps back, his face filled with horror. "What is going on?!"

When a person is killed, they die—that's a fundamental law.

But... now, it seemed this law had been broken. The people who should have been dead, pierced by the black rods, were advancing towards him like crazed zombies.

"Stay away! Don't come near me!"

Panicking, Ōtsutsuki Isshiki summoned a massive black box, dropping it from the sky.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

The black box crashed down like a meteor, unleashing a shocking amount of energy.

Visible shockwaves, like towering waves, swept over the 'zombie-like' crowd, engulfing them and demolishing the entire city in an instant.

Hovering mid-air, Ōtsutsuki Isshiki stared down at the now-destroyed city, his forehead slick with sweat, large droplets trickling down. The fear of the unknown gnawed at his heart.

The concept of resurrection wasn't unheard of.

But he had never seen people get up and move, even with their heads smashed to pieces!

"Crush the bodies to dust; let's see how you keep moving then!"

With a sinister grin, Ōtsutsuki Isshiki's eyes gleamed with malice. "Hmph, no matter how many tricks you have, you're still just a bunch of ants."

But in the next moment, the sky changed dramatically.

Thick, dark clouds rolled in, coiling above like a giant serpent. A bolt of thunder roared, shaking the heavens, and soon the sound of rolling thunder filled the air.

Bright, jagged lightning cut through the clouds, illuminating the sky.

The clouds gathered, forming a massive swirling vortex, resembling a colossal 'eye.'

At the center, the eye of the storm appeared 'vertical,' glowing with a fierce golden hue, like molten lava radiating a blinding light.

It was that 'eye'!

Ōtsutsuki Isshiki's pupils shrank sharply, feeling a bone-deep fear for the first time in his life.

A voice, ancient and distant, echoed deep within his mind.

"Are you looking for me?"
