Quinn fell silent, his gaze fixed on Minchin as he took a deep breath.
"So, you're admitting you put them to sleep? Why did you do that?" he asked, his brows drawn together.
Minchin simply shrugged, meeting his gaze with casual indifference.
"You should know by now—I don't like anyone entering my territory. Those kids tried to get in, so I did what I had to do. But don't worry. Nothing's going to happen to them. I only erased the memory of their little adventure. They won't remember a thing."
Quinn studied her for a moment, her relaxed demeanor easing some of his tension. He'd been worried she might have taken things too far, fearing she could have done something dangerous to them.
But after hearing her, he realized there was nothing to worry about. After all, they'd known each other for so long; he knew she wouldn't lie to him.
"Alright, alright…" he murmured, running a hand through his hair as he let out a sigh of relief.
