I glanced behind them, where ogres, wolves, and a giant spider were lurking, waiting for their chance to strike.
Seeing the exhaustion etched on their faces from fighting, I'm afraid it would be hard for them to defeat the new waves of monsters that had followed them. However, if I brought them along with me, they'd only be in more danger, with even more monsters lying in wait near the portal where I was headed.

I glanced at them before turning away, but then Abien suddenly dropped to the ground like a child throwing a tantrum, making me stop.
"If you're not planning to come with us, then fine. Go ahead and leave us here to be eaten by monsters!" He exchanged a glance with McKinley, as if they were scheming something.
