"Why? What's wrong with him? His presence seemed normal to me." I replied, visibly confused.
Anne's jaw dropped, and soon enough, the entire table of first-years was staring at me like I'd grown a second head.
They quickly huddled around me.
"You didn't feel anything?" Abien asked, gripping my shoulders and turning me to face him directly, as if that would help me understand.
"Feel what?" I asked, baffled.
They all exchanged incredulous glances.
"The fierce feeling! Like his mere presence was piercing through our bones, straight to our souls! How could you not feel that?!" Anne exclaimed.
