"W-wait, did you just say she's Chastine?" Ecarus exclaimed, his eyes widening in shock.
He took a step closer, and I could feel the weight of his presence bearing down on me. "Hey, are you really the first-year batch rep from the Wood Clan? The one who defeated those young geniuses from the other clans?"
Startled by how close his face suddenly was to mine, I quickly stepped back, trying to create some space between us, almost stumbling in the process.
But Chronos caught me by the waist just in time. He then raised his hand to block Senior Ecarus's face, which collided with his palm, stopping him in his tracks.
"Hey!"
"Who are you to put your hands on Lord Ecarus's handsome face!" Vanessa snapped at Chronos, visibly irritated by his actions.
Ethanos, however, merely shot her a cold glance, completely unfazed.
"I'm Chronos. And you? Who are you?" Chronos retorted calmly, his sarcasm evident, causing Ethanos to chuckle.
