"And you two, the way you're acting around Chastine is completely different. Are you two perhaps in love with her?" Rune blurted out, not bothering to filter his words.
His question hung in the air, causing even our companions, who had been quietly eating moments ago, to pause. They exchanged glances, their brows furrowing as if they were just as curious to hear the response.
Chronos's eyes met Rune's, clearly displeased by his bold question. He glanced between me and Ethanos for a brief moment, his expression growing more serious.
"Tsk. That's ridiculous. Don't misinterpret my actions." Chronos finally said. "I'm only concerned about her because it's not good for her reputation to be associated with Ethanos. She's our batch representative, and it wouldn't reflect well if she got caught up with my troublemaker brother."
