Melissa fluttered her eyes open, feeling hot and tired. Her vision was blurry at first, but as it cleared, she realized she was surrounded by a bunch of muscular men.
Panic surged through her, but her body felt heavy and unresponsive. The men were talking amongst themselves, their voices a low murmur.
"Doesn't it feel like someone entered when the lights suddenly went off?" one of them asked.
"Stop saying nonsense," another retorted. "Tommy and his guys would have locked the door earlier."
"Yeah, you're probably just imagining things," a third chimed in, rolling his eyes.
"Well, I'm just saying, it felt weird," the first one insisted, crossing his arms defensively.
"You're always paranoid," another laughed. "We're all here, aren't we?"
As they bickered, Melissa struggled to sit up, her body protesting every movement. One of the men finally noticed her.
"Hey, she's awake!" he exclaimed.
