When they got home, Ronald quickly excused himself, explaining that he had something urgent to take care of. Paula nodded, watching him leave before turning her attention to Winter and Barbie.
After a refreshing shower, the three of them settled down for dinner. With boundless enthusiasm, Winter gushed about Ronald, recounting in great detail all that he had done for him that day.
"Mom, Uncle Ronald bought me this cool toy car, and he said he's going to take me to the amusement park next weekend!" Winter exclaimed, barely able to sit still in his chair.
Paula smiled warmly at her son, gently placing a hand on his shoulder. "That sounds fun, Winter. But let's focus on eating first, okay? You can tell me all about it after dinner."
Even though Winter was a little grumpy, he dutifully took up his fork and began eating with a fresh zest. Paula exchanged a brief, amused glance with Barbie, who smiled at the little boy's excitement.
