The room fell into a terrifying silence.
Mo Qiansu's eyes brimmed with aggrieved tears, her body aching as if it had been crushed. She turned her face to the side, closed her eyes, and avoided looking at the man who had suddenly become as terrifying as a demon.
She didn't know how much time had passed.
Time enough that Mo Qiansu felt more and more breathless under his weight.
She pushed at Gu Xuanye, her body unmoving; his face buried in her neck, arms tightly wrapped around her waist, she couldn't tell if he was asleep or awake.
It took a while for Mo Qiansu to calm down and suppress the grievance in her heart.
She moved her lips, breaking the silence, "Gu Xuanye, what's wrong with you? What happened?"
Mo Qiansu waited a moment but didn't get a reply, so she continued, "I told you a few days ago that I had something important to discuss with you on Friday. Why didn't you come back earlier today?"
