"Lian Qiao!"
At the sound of his voice, she turned back and waved at him, signaling for him to go ahead and wait for her in the car.
She had heard that many men suffered from what she called 'lordly illness,' refusing to buy sanitary pads for women, not to mention underwear or even to purchase condoms for themselves—and buying a pregnancy test was entirely out of the question. So she had automatically lumped this seemingly high and mighty man into that category as well.
After entering the pharmacy, she didn't show any shyness—or rather, she felt shy, but didn't let it show on her face.
Having just been sick, her complexion was somewhat pale, making her look like a real patient which prompted the clerk to greet her with a smile immediately.
"Miss, what would you like to buy?"
"I need two pregnancy tests—"
Before the clerk could respond, a familiar voice filled with surprise and joy rang in her ear.
"You're pregnant?!"
