That was her home too!
Back then, she could hardly be considered a happy child, but that bowl of warm rice was her greatest comfort after losing her parents. Her aunt and uncle, both ordinary workers, never skimped on her despite their busy schedules and the constant struggle to make ends meet for the family, including taking care of the children. While their living conditions were nothing to boast about, they were never left hungry.
Now, looking back after having lost it all, she found those days to be filled with a sweet flavor.
As she walked, she watched the carefree frolicking of the children in the courtyard of the community, heedless of scolding from their parents, unabated in their energetic play.
Not growing up is truly wonderful!
