Jiayi stepped out of the villa, making her way to the garage in the backyard.
Today, she had driven over in her Mini Cooper.
The light bulb in the garage was broken, and she hadn't had a chance to replace it yet. She pressed the wall switch several times to no avail and had to grope her way into the pitch-dark garage, finding her car by feel.
She opened the car door, bent down to enter, and sat down in the driver's seat.
With her hands resting on the steering wheel, and now far from the main house, out of sight of that man, her intense emotions finally began to subside, yet her lips involuntarily twitched.
What was she doing? Why had she reacted just now like a jealous girlfriend?
What was she angry about?
Slapping her forehead to regain her composure, Jiayi pulled out her car keys, inserted them into the ignition, but her hand inexplicably loosened, and the bunch of keys fell onto the car's carpet.
Sighing, she bent down to fumble for them on the ground.
