"Master, young master, it's getting late. It's time for dinner. I'll go tell the kitchen to serve the dishes," said the butler as he approached Huo Tianpei and Jiayi with a smile, interrupting their pleasant conversation.
Huo Tianpei nodded, "Alright, let's serve the dishes." With that, he stood up, gesturing for Jiayi to sit at the dining table.
From upstairs, there came the sound of footsteps, accompanied by a woman's laughter-infused, clear voice:
"Oh, dinner's starting? Good, the guest I invited should be arriving soon. Father, please take a seat, I'll go and check outside."
Huo Tianpei hadn't expected his wife to have invited another guest and frowned, "Who is coming? We are having a family dinner today. Why invite outsiders?"
"Father, she's no outsider. She's my relative, once very close to our Huo Family, nearly becoming one of us. You know her," Yao Zhenru said, laughing as she descended the stairs.
