Xiaolin was unwilling to agree to anything, so the warriors began to snatch the notebook from each other, tossing it from hand to hand in an airborne ballet. Eventually, with an especially forceful throw by someone, the notebook arced through the air and disappeared into the unknown.
The moment Xiaolin saw his notebook go missing, he panicked, "Find my book—quick! Otherwise, I'm really going to be upset with you guys!"
Seeing Xiaolin's desperation, the warriors stopped teasing him.
They split up to search for it.
They traced the path the notebook might have taken but after scouring the flowerbeds by the roadside, there was still no sign of Xiaolin's notebook.
"It's too dark to search now. How about we look for it tomorrow?" one warrior suggested.
"No way, we need to find it today. What if someone else picks it up tomorrow?" Xiaolin disagreed at all costs.
"What's so important about that book? What did you write in there?"
"Yeah, just some mushy poetry, right!?"
