"As you can see, we are a people with no combat abilities or experience in warfare," the old man said. "Moreover, our numbers are decreasing significantly. Our people are suffering from a curse. We haven't evolved over the ages, while this galaxy has undergone thousands of changes."
The old man finished his complaint and looked at Niard with hope that he would lend them a helping hand. Since the destruction of the human empire and his rescue of the remaining humans, Niard had become a hero in the eyes of the weak.
"I can't promise you anything, Chief..." Niard began, but the chief interrupted him. "My name is Wiz. We need help, and we'll do anything in return," Chief Wiz said, not allowing Niard to finish his previous statement.
