"Eisley?" Magnus's voice was filled with concern as he gently tapped her cheek. Her eyes fluttered open, meeting his gaze. There was a glint of both joy and anxiety in his eyes, but that suddenly shifted to a smile.
Hours later, Eisley awoke to a white ceiling. As she turned, scrutinizing her surroundings, a familiar feeling crept in. In a flash, Eisley sat up, fear shimmering in her meadow-green eyes as she realized she was back in the bedroom she despised the most.
She quickly pushed the grey quilt aside and got down from the bed. Rushing to the door, she twisted the knob. Her eyes widened in shock as realization hit her.
Magnus had brought her back to the old house and locked her up. She glanced around, searching for her bag or phone, but there was no sign of them.
"Magnus!" She banged on the door. "Magnus! I know you're there, let me out!" she screamed, pounding the door relentlessly.
