As the car came to a stop in front of Magnus's house, Irwin opened the door and got out. Magnus hurried over to him, dropping to his knees as he approached. Despite the urgency, Magnus was still clad in his formal suit and polished leather shoes.
"Spare her this once, Mr Kent. She was wrong to hit... Eisley, I mean... Mrs Kent, but it's a mistake she would never make again!" Magnus pleaded. Irwin glanced around, adjusting his suit.
"Won't you invite me to your place, Magnus? You have a habit of not wanting me around, this is bad. Considering you sometimes live in my mansion," He said, his white teeth flashing as he smiled.
Irwin and Magnus locked eyes uneasily, their gazes carrying a simmering tension. A sly, triumphant smile played on Irwin's lips, bordering on mockery.
"Lead the way, Mr. Sawyer," Irwin said with a touch of arrogance.
