"She should have arrived in the Dome long before now. Where is she?" Nyla paced the floors of her office, rubbing her head with her skinny fingers. She lost more weight by the day. The commander stood at ease, watching Nyla walk back and forth. "I don't need you to stand there staying mute. I need answers."
"Ladey should have been here from the series of assignments you gave her."
"She's been missing for cresce. I have been wrapped up in so many unfinished businesses. It took me a while to notice. Has there been a brief breach in the Dome?"
"Not that I know of."
"Then explain how the foundling is missing from the Dome? There hasn't been a breech, or is she walking through the wall without being undetected." Nyla seethed, "The reason behind her disappearance is perplexing, and I can't believe we've combed through the surveillance and nothing."
