Chapter 48 - Movies

When the Mana Knights entered the grand entrance of the enlightenment dungeon, they were immediately greeted by a sight that seemed extraordinary.

The air crackled with a strange energy as they found themselves standing in a futuristic hallway, with sleek metallic panels on the walls that shimmered under the soft light.

It was as if they had stepped into a world where the present and the future existed together.

While their eyes scanned the hallway, they noticed something peculiar—a poster hanging on the wall like a captivating TV screen.

The poster seemed to invite them, promising clues to uncover the mysterious actions of the elusive Wallace within his other dungeon—the gaming maze.

However, instead of straightforward answers, it presented them with three intriguing choices, each accompanied by a unique sound that echoed through the corridor.

[ Movies:

[ 1. Alien Movie.

[ 2. Predator Movie.

[ 3. Predator vs Alien Movie. ]

The choices written felt like a metallic sound, ringing in their ears, telling them to hurry up and choose one of them.

Below each option, a price was listed—five Neutral Magic Crystals on each movie.

The Knights exchanged glances, their curiosity sparked.

What did these choices mean?

And why were they significant in this remarkable dungeon?

Knight Alistair, Cedric, Eldric, Gideon, Ivander, Jasper, and Mage Marcus gathered closely, speaking softly as they discussed the meaning behind these options.

"What should we choose?"

"They are all the same prices…"

"Then let's watch the first one—maybe?"

The word 'Alien' was like a creature of unknown origin, conjuring images of beings from distant realms.

The term 'Predator' evoked a sense of danger, stealth, and primal ferocity.

Questions filled their minds, challenging their understanding of this realm and its secrets.

"What is an 'Alien'?" Alistair wondered aloud, his eyes narrowing with intensity. "And what is a 'Predator'?"

Cedric, the experienced warrior, chimed in, his voice filled with caution and curiosity. "I feel like these aliens are serious, something that's making me uncomfortable, especially in my throat. Perhaps these 'Aliens' are such entities."

Eldric, the steadfast defender, added, "And the 'Predators'... they could be formidable enemies, cunning and relentless."

Gideon, the agile scout, shared his thoughts. "Wait, aren't we the young blood we became earlier in the gaming dungeon Predators? What if the aliens are those facehuggers?"

Ivander, the wise scholar, interjected, "He is right, these facehuggers. They are unsettling. I want to know more about them. So I am more curious about the first option, 'Alien.' It's making all the hairs on my back stand. Perhaps it holds the clue that Baron Wallace talked about too—let's go for it!"

The Knights exchanged glances once more, their decision made.

With careful discussion, they reached a consensus and chose the first option—[Alien movie.]

After all, paying five Neutral Magic Crystals seemed like a small price compared to the potential knowledge it could provide.

So without hesitation, using their bracelet, they paid for it.

However, as soon as their choice echoed through the hallway, an unexpected twist occurred.

The metallic floor beneath them vanished, and they found themselves falling into a sudden abyss.

Swang!

Panic surged through their veins as they prepared for a painful impact.

But to their astonishment, they landed on a series of soft cushions, completely unharmed.

Choff! Choff! Choff! Choff! Choff! Choff!

It was so comfy, so relaxing, they all thought.

As they regained their composure, they marveled at the sight before them.

In front stood a massive projection screen, spanning the width of the chamber. It bathed the room in a captivating glow, pulsating with a life of its own.

The word 'Alien' appeared on the screen, accompanied by a countdown that ticked away with anticipation.

In the deep forest, Wallace, wearing his usual predator armor, moved with unwavering speed without hesitation.

Swoosh!

Each step he took caused the undergrowth to tremble, but he understood that relying solely on camouflage wasn't enough. The creatures that hunted in these woods couldn't be easily fooled.

Cracackackakckaak!

By their steel-like exoskeleton alone, Wallace knew they were numerous and possessed incredibly sharp senses.

As Wallace pressed forward, his heart raced, fueled by adrenaline coursing through his veins.

"They never stopped!" he cursed!

He felt why he did for the mission bore down on him in the form of the endless amount of shadow assassin Bugs, compelling him to push onward.

With each passing moment, the tension in the air grew thicker, as if the forest itself held its breath in the battle of attrition between a powerhouse and the nature's army.

Suddenly, a rustle of leaves behind him grabbed Wallace's attention.

Shashasha…

He swiftly spun around, scanning the shadows for any sign of movement. Then, like ghosts emerging from the darkness, the creatures appeared one by one.

They slithered from the twisted branches of trees, blending seamlessly with the dark foliage.

Their movements possessed an eerie grace, almost imperceptible. In the moonlight, Wallace could see their cold, calculating eyes gleaming, their sleek bodies outlined against the backdrop of the night sky.

With a quick swing of his blade, Wallace struck, the steel cutting through the air.

Swack!!

The first creature, a black Assassin Bug, met its end with a single, swift slash. But as it fell, more creatures emerged from their hiding spots, their sinister forms from the family of assassin bugs in different colors like gray, black, dark red were undulating like shadows in the night.

They approached from all directions, emerging from leafy shadows and decaying wood.

Each one had its own grotesque beauty, with elongated limbs and wickedly sharp appendages ready to attack.

Shack! Shack! Shack!

Wallace fought with a primal fierceness, his every move a dance for survival.

He spun, slashed, and parried, his blade moving with deadly precision.

The creatures fell, one after another, their lifeless bodies littering the forest floor. But for every foe he defeated, two more seemed to take their place, an unrelenting tide threatening to overwhelm him.

The battle raged on, the clash of steel against their hard armor echoing through the night. Wallace's muscles burned, his breath ragged. Yet, he refused to give up, his determination unwavering.

As the noon reached its highest point, a chilling shriek pierced the air in the night.

It was a cry of triumph, signaling to the creatures that their prey was cornered. Wallace's heart sank, but he steeled himself for the final onslaught. He knew that his survival depended on one last act of defiance.

"Rowaaaaerrkkkkk!"

And so, with a resolute roar, Wallace charged forward, his blade shining with deadly determination.

"Aaarrghhh!! Damn you all!"

The creatures closed in, their hunger for his flesh palpable. But he fought on, every strike fueled by desperation and an unwavering refusal to surrender.

Soon, Wallace managed to defeat them all! However, he knew it wasn't the end. More would come. But before they arrived, a chilling notification appeared on his visor.

[ Ding!

[ Energy 1 percent.

[ The host will return to normal.

[ Armor retraction will be activated! ]

Seeing this, Wallace could only mumble, "Am I really doing this just for Vending Machines?"
