Chapter 36 - Baron Strange

The Mana Knights, including Rederic, Alistair, Cedric, Eldric, Gideon, Ivander, Jasper, and Mage Marcus, were still in a discussion when they suddenly saw Baron Wallace on the hologram sprinted!

The Knights exchanged glances, their jaws dropping in disbelief. These were not ordinary animals; they were smart creatures, capable of planning and slyness.

You are really going and facing them directly!

The Knights couldn't help but think about Wallace's previous accomplishments.

He had easily defeated a leopard and a facehugger, showing impressive agility and skill. But this time, the challenge seemed impossible.

The baboons had a high level of intelligence that required careful planning and caution.

So why?

Why are you really going after them?

Do you want to die?

Inside the gaming world, Wallace remained unaware and couldn't be bothered by the thoughts racing through the minds of the Mana Knights. He had no idea they were outside the gaming dungeon, observing his every move, and watching him carefully.

As the first baboon approached Wallace, time seemed to slow down.

The tension was intense as he swiftly threw the knife in his hand, the blade hitting the baboon's forehead.

The creature stumbled but kept charging forward, even though Wallace could see that it was already dead.

In one smooth motion, Wallace retrieved the knife from the baboon's forehead and passed by its body, letting it fall to the ground with a thud, his eyes filled with determination and menace.

Soon, a wicked smile appeared on his face as he locked eyes with the approaching horde of baboons.

"Come!" He beckoned his hand.

However, in front of him, all the Baboons stopped from charging.

The Mana Knights were amazed, their hearts pounding in their chests as they stared at the hologram in front of them.

Where the young Baron Wallace was standing tall with a wicked smile on his face.

Around him stood the imposing figures of the giant Baboons, their huge bodies casting dark shadows over the virtual landscape.

The Mana Knights were stunned when Wallace brought down the leader of the Baboons, but the more shocking thing was that the remaining Baboons froze in place, their primal anger momentarily subdued.

The creatures' expressions on their faces showed a mix of fear and confusion, their eyes widening and their bodies stiffening in an unexpected act of submission.

Rederic, Alistair, Cedric, Eldric, Gideon, Ivander, Jasper, and Mage Marcus exchanged bewildered looks.

How did he do it?

What is going on again and again and again?

Ever since they watched and seen the young Baron's incredible skills as a warrior on many occasions in this gaming dungeon, they are introduced to a lot more new things.

Every time he revealed a new aspect of his abilities, they were caught off guard.

Whether it was his remarkable talent for defeating Herbivores with a single blow or his inexplicable ability to predict the appearance of dangerous creatures, Wallace seemed to possess powers and knowledge that were beyond their understanding.

But with each revelation, the Mana Knights remained determined and steadfast, their curiosity only growing stronger.

Questions filled their minds, demanding answers.

Why did the Baboons stop attacking when their leader fell?

In their previous encounters, the creatures had unleashed relentless fury on the knights, even when they managed to kill the leading one, but now they stood still, their aggression suddenly gone.

The group of Mana Knights collective gazes remained fixed on the holographic scene, their eyes shifting between Wallace's unwavering figure and the motionless Baboons.

Tension hung in the air, and the only sound was the rapid thumping of their hearts.

The baboons stood still before Wallace, their faces filled with fear. He couldn't help but smile, enjoying the strength of the knife-throw technique.

It was moments like these that showed the true beauty of his skill, leaving onlookers amazed.

As memories of his time on Earth came rushing back, Wallace couldn't forget the reactions of those who had witnessed this spectacle.

The game that time had become incredibly popular, and this technique became famous for that too, that time, he was lucky to have seen its rise.

"Sigh," he muttered quietly, sounding a bit disappointed. "It's a shame that only I can see this incredible scene, and no one else."

Without wasting any time, Wallace quickly sprang into action. His footsteps echoed through the air, a sign that his skill was about to be displayed.

The other baboons stayed motionless, their eyes fixed on him, too afraid to move.

The reason why these baboons are frozen is that earlier, when Wallace touched their leader baboon, their leader died instantly upon contact. However, the truth was that he used a knife to kill it mid-air, and before it could even reach him, its life was already taken by his knife.

That's how powerful his knife-throwing technique was.

Usually, even if Wallace managed to kill the leader, and the leader managed to last for a few seconds, the other baboons would try to fight back. They would gather their courage, thinking that even a single second is enough of a chance against the intruder. But Wallace's unmatched throwing knife skill shattered those chances.

The baboons were frozen in fear, unable to understand what had just happened.

As Wallace approached them, bursting into wicked laughter, what could the Baboons do? Well, they had no other option but to scatter in a frenzy!

Witnessing this, Wallace would grin and exclaim, "Haha! Keep running! Don't stop! Tremble before me! Hahaha!"

Nothing is more delightful, than having experience of being a predator, in a Predator's body!

Outside, Mana Knight Rederic, Alistair, Cedric, Eldric, Gideon, Ivander, Jasper, and Mage Marcus could only watch and believe that this was happening, right before their eyes.

The smart creature that they had been cautious of, where they needed a serious evaluation, careful assessment of the situation as well, careful stealth, careful blending in the surroundings, careful of taking advantage of the group of creatures' weaknesses, careful to stay agile, careful on creating distractions, careful on using the surroundings, and, most importantly, careful of staying focused and calm.

Even those, the Mana Knights had struggled to defeat, were now running around in panic, looking very helpless.

Baron was like a demon king, hunting and killing for the sake of fun!

By the look of his expression, he was happy and proud!
