'Two Refined Knight…or one Refined Knight and one Knight? I…can't tell.'
It was the first time he couldn't gouge someone's strength. Hex, however, wasn't fazed by it. Ever since he entered the Temple district, he experienced many first times. At this point, he expected things to take twists and turns.
'If I descent the stairs now, I might suffer attacks from both sides,' Hex thought with a frown. 'Let's check things out first. Perhaps there will be an opening I can take advantage of.'
A small burst of flame occurred beneath his feet and the ice around him melted. How long before it froze once again? Hex didn't know but he hoped he would be able to make his move before discovering it.
