"Damon! Can you come here?"
As soon as Damon entered the house, he heard Sol call him over. His voice came from the back garden.
Sol was already awake and sitting on the veranda behind the house, sipping tea and basking in the sun.
Damon noticed his body was wrapped in a thin, almost invisible, golden glow, as if he was absorbing the light of the sun.
"One of the best perks of being a sunblessed. The sun is the best healer and its free," grinned Sol. He pointed at the chair opposite his, asking Damon to take a seat.
"If you were able to stroll around you most likelly had a better time underground. And although I can't see what's there, I assume that darkness helped us escape?" Sol inquired calmly.
Damon nodded and recounted his experience in the corridor. He naturally omitted any mention of the notebook.
