Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: The Strange Moon

Chaos! Chaos!

The world is in turmoil, and the bizarre has descended!

The news is frantically reporting strange situations. The news anchor speaks rapidly, with the visuals changing quickly to depict the situation.

An eerie old man walks the city streets. Those who see him bleed from their seven orifices and drop dead on the spot!

Eyeless ghostly children roam around, searching for their missing eyes. Those who see them instantly go blind!

There are also blood-red hunting dogs preying on humans, butcher-like figures hunting their prey, and captivating female corpses enchanting men…

The news reaches this point, and the anchor's face turns grave, "We urge residents to be vigilant. Ensure your safety first, and report any incidents promptly."

After watching the news, Yeesha sighs heavily and slumps onto the sofa.

Chaos reigns, and the bizarre is here. How can an ordinary person like him survive?

He's a successful fitness trainer, strong and fit, skilled in martial arts. But against these bizarre entities, all these seem useless.

After all, he's up against monsters and demons. No matter how skilled he is, he's just like a cricket to them. His flesh would likely be a delicacy to these creatures.

"Bang! Bang! Bang!"

Suddenly, a strange noise comes from the kitchen. Yeesha's heart tightens instantly. He stands up, tensing every muscle, and moves slowly, fearing to alert any lurking strangeness.

The noise grows louder, as if something is trying to crawl out from the sewer.

Without hesitation, Yeesha bolts for the door!

Only a fool would confront such strangeness! Running is the best option!

The entity in the kitchen seems to sense Yeesha's intentions, and with a bang, breaks through the door, chasing after him down the stairs!

Yeesha lives on the sixth floor. Despite his good physical condition, he's cautious descending the stairs.

The strange entity lets out a piercing scream, extremely jarring. Yeesha dare not look back, enduring the pain in his ears, and runs down as fast as he can.

"Thud!"

The sound of claws piercing flesh precedes the intense pain in his back. Losing balance, he tumbles down the stairs.

Protecting his head with his arms, Yeesha rolls down, but he doesn't hesitate. He quickly gets up and continues running down.

The pain is intense; blood flows from his back, and his limbs swell from the hard impact with the stairs.

But he can't stop, because stopping means death!

The strange entities have been around for three months now, and he hasn't heard of anyone surviving their pursuit!

Running might not guarantee survival, but not running guarantees death!

"Ah!"

The strange entity screams angrily, as if Yeesha has angered it as prey, speeding up its chase.

"So terrifying!"

Images of the entity flash through Yeesha's mind as he continues to run.

It looks like a skinny child but with dry, wrinkled skin. Its face is twisted, with angry eyes, a mouth full of sharp teeth, and claws with razor-sharp nails, excellent weapons for hunting humans.

He's about to reach the end of the corridor, and just as he thinks he's safe, a dizzy spell hits him. The pain from his shredded back and the numbing sensation from the ghostly claws inform him he's been poisoned!

Here's the English translation of the continuation of the story:

Yeesha, using his last bit of strength, pushes open the door to the ground-floor hallway. However, his body involuntarily falls out, and the little ghostly creature screams and pounces on him, opening its ghostly mouth to viciously bite at Yeesha's neck.

Though Yeesha's consciousness is fading, his survival instinct prompts him to protect his vital areas. He decisively uses his arm to block, and the creature's bloody mouth clamps onto his arm, blood splattering everywhere.

"Ah!!!!!!!"

Yeesha lets out an agonizing scream. But due to the poison, he gradually loses strength and can't push the creature off him.

"I didn't expect… to die like this!"

As if anticipating his own death, Yeesha's heart is filled with a sense of regret.

As the creature savagely tears and bites, swallowing a chunk of flesh from Yeesha's arm and preparing to bite his neck to finish off its prey and savor the delicious meal.

Suddenly, the densely clouded sky, which had been blocking the moonlight, clears up. A bright full moon hangs in the sky, and a beam of moonlight shines through the glass onto Yeesha, who is on the brink of death!

Even the creature senses that something is amiss. It lifts its head and looks through the window at the night sky.

Suddenly, it is grabbed by a furry, large hand around its neck, hoisted up in the air.

The creature struggles in panic, but finds that its sharp claws can't harm the large hand at all.

Where Yeesha, who was lying on the ground awaiting death, was, there's now a terrifying werewolf in his place. It's covered in shiny black fur, tall and muscular, with bulging arm muscles. Above its wolf head, its glowing green eyes glare menacingly at the creature.

"Now it's my turn, you damn little ghost!"

The werewolf speaks, its voice hoarse and deep, sounding like the growl of a fierce jungle beast.

The werewolf slowly tightens its grip, squeezing the creature's neck, letting it experience the despair of imminent death.

With the werewolf's final squeeze, the creature loses its strength to struggle, its head tilts, and it falls silent…
