Aiwass then wondered why the Valley of the Beheaded was connected to Merlin...and now he understood.
Seeing Merlin's youthful appearance, he must not have yet become "Great Sage Merlin."
So, the witnessing of the covenant must have also been an event that occurred later...likely after the fall of the Giant Kingdom.
"Yes, esteemed Sir Helquinn."
Gavin bowed politely and respectfully to Aiwass, "We are knights of the rebel army following King Arthur to subdue that debauched and lawless Giant King.
"Though we are all humans, we also possess the determination to conquer the Giants. King Arthur traveled across the entire Helasal Empire to gather us under his command.
"We vowed—if we truly managed to destroy the Giant Kingdom of Alktoth, we would establish a new nation upon this Isle of Avalon. Then Arthur shall be our new king...a king belonging to mankind!"
