On the side of the street were tightly-packed stores, one after another. In front of the stores, some people had laid out their wares on the ground, while others sold snacks from street-side stands.
The biggest difference was the absence of "roads."
Although there were quite a few horses passing by—Aiwass even saw camels—there were no asphalt roads or marble pathways here. The ground was entirely wooden, so when the hooves of unicorns stepped on it, they made a crisp and long echo.
From Avalon's point of view, the paths here could be considered quite wide. They were so wide that even with vendors on both sides, at least two lanes of width were kept clear in the middle.
