Aiwass gazed at the dark clouds spreading outside the window, silently analyzing these tasks.
Those three trial tasks were essential for the job change—among them, the "Beacon of Hope" was a mandatory trial task for advancing Illuminators and Temple Guardian Monks, with at least one-third of the progress needing to be completed.
And the task "The Day of Ruin Approaches" obviously conflicted with the mandatory task.
This was a common task prepared for those ascenders who did not intend to help Isabel evacuate, a task available to all Paths.
Since the mandatory task must be completed, in principle, it did not offer points. The extra five hundred points for helping Isabel escape had to be made up with other tasks—and evidently, with the disaster of Avalon imminent, evacuating to other countries was the safest choice. The next best option was to leave Glass Island and hide in those small towns.
